I have noticed several times, that many feels that helping out newcommers is made by giving them money.. Well, you can do that, but in addition to do that, wouldn't it be better to help them out by being friendly through time? Yeah, you can always go on /hduty, and answer some questions, and then what? I believe that we should all at some point, help them while looking besides the rules for a second. By that, I mean, that we should spend time with them, showing them what they are capable of, and everything else they should be aware of. Telling newcommers where to go on duty is always helpful, but is it enough? No, at this point it would be a good thing to go and fx patrol with them, and showing them your own experiences, so that they can learn faster and easier, than doing it all by themselves.
I'm just saying, that we all do love to help out as much as we can, but we could all do much more than we do today. How many unban requests do we see? How many are from newcommers? We could all help to prevent them running into troubles, and we all know how. The question is if we want to...?

"Helping newcomers" is not a instant help, like answering a question. If you really want to help your newest friend, you kinda need to hang out with him.

Just me and myself..

We need to get newcommers to sense how the atmosphere is around here. Pretty hard to deliver such a good impression through some talking over PM or /ask. Remember that you are mostly able to continue whatever you were doing, before you meet a new person. I guess we're all just too lazy... Quantity over quality? Lyrical, becoming a friend to someone is sudently something negative? I made this topic, for the people who loves to help out for the pleasure, not to those who thinks of it as a duty.

Any regular can do it. :)

I encourage regulars to teach newcomers how to get started, by showing them what to do... who knows, your student may be the next Community Leader or Admin.

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.

People don't seem to spend their time because they find it useless.Playing is also useless,as it makes your eyes get weak,so why not quitting playing?

who knows, your student may be the next Community Leader or Admin.
For example, iMunna was a "student" of mine (in his way earlier days) and Inferno 9's.
He's come a long way from being my hostage on the rooftops of Doherty... to an admin!

And I helped cutt3r some back in the days when he became admin for the first time on mta:vc.

Where did he go?
Yes, he became one of the most respected people I have ever seen and an Property manager/manager. I am incredible proud of him.

Life has been a fucking hell recently, including accepting what has happened to me in the past. Dunno if life will ever get better but at the least I'm still hanging on. Lol.

First day, I was helped by Kitsune, with /banana for half an hour.

No, seriously. Players that helped me decide to stay were odifus, Julian, shitix, and all the other bikers.
Once an Angel, always an Angel. Salute!  :drunk:

The most things that I hate in the players is this.
Some of the players, are always saying that they are trying to "help" other players.
The other day, they go Ingame, and I only see a "Hello" from those players to the newcomers.
Regulars are trying to be 'cool' by saying that they are helping others out, if you are willing to help out, DO IT.
Do not lie and stop making yourself look cool by saying so.

I taught several players, but sadly most of them dont stay long, but one that did stay was 'Ronnie.' He is now a regular player here and is a adapted roleplayer here, and has helped me probably as much as i have helped him - With friendship.

Once again, my observations are correct. By the time I came to MTA:VC, Cutt3r (ArjunSforza) was already a good admin. :)

This is why I encourage people to help newbies...
