Hi, my GTA IV lags to death, it does this on even the lowest settings (it actually lags less on the highest), i can play crysis fine on the highest settings using only 1 graphics card...

this is my specs,
Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit
2* Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 460 OC 1GB
2* Corsair Dominator DD3 4GB Ram
1* Intel i5 760 Quad core 2.8ghz
1* Gigabyte P55A-UD4P Motherboard
1* Hitachi HTS543212L9A300 150GB HDD
1* HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS50 DVD-CD Drive/Burner
1* Samsung HD160JJ 110GB HDD
1* WDC WD1002FAEX-00Z3A0 1TB HDD

(most of that is useless information, but im gunna give it anyway, i could always go on and put in the case and neons onto my list, but  im not gunna bother)

i can play ANY game that is out on full graphics EXCEPT GTA IV, help me!!!

The problem you have has nothing to do with the system lacking power, it is mearly due to the fact you are running Windows 7 64bit with IVMP.
When I ran Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with IVMP, I would only get 5FPS on the lowest graphics with the lowest res,
I then changed over to Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit and I was easily clocking 40-60FPS with the graphics on high and on 1440x900 res.  ;)

As GTA IV needs so much of your systems resources, 64bit Windows also needs therefore it drains nearly all of your power due to the 64bit story.
If you can, reinstall Windows 7 32bit and you will run GTA IV on max with no lag, and possibly 80FPS constantly.  ;)

And what is this "Handbrake Cam"? I have never before heard of it, and it hasnt surely been there before 1.7 patch.

I'm running IV and IVMP with no problems of lag with 64-bit Windows 7.

this has given me another reason to change to 32bit version, MoH is bugged in most 64bit windows 7 versions aswell

I'm running IV and IVMP with no problems of lag with 64-bit Windows 7.

yes some computers(for reasons unknown to me) seem to run MoH fine on 64-bit Windows 7 aswell, so this makes 2 games on my list that i wanna play that are affected by 64-bit problems, ill look into that, if any1 has anymore ideas please post away

Hi IcyAero,
I recommend you have a look at My Post . .
**The Frames Per Second Question** What Should I Do? (ANSWERED)

The address is
http://forum.iv-multiplayer.com/index.php/topic,2748.0.html

it is a long read. But well worth it. Hopefully this can help you with your lag problem.

I Will also suggest that you take a brief look at any of your anti-virus settings or anything that can cause your computer to slow down.
It is worth noting that GTA IV does use a lot resources, so as mentioned before, it is a good idea to turn off some unused features not usually needed on IVMP such as

Handbrake Cam
You can find this under the Display options of GTA4 ingame, this gives you a FPS increase of a small 3FPS but it does make the game play smoother.

Quick Capture
Also turn this option off under the Game Tab of the ingame menu to help speed things along.
If you still continue to have problems after reading both this and my other post I can only suggest that you update all your graphics drivers to the newest version.

Happy Gaming
