Hi, I'll start this thread by mentioning that Parallel Universe is a DM community, Argonaths Sister community.
SA:MP IP: 178.63.52.144:7780

Pleasantry's over...
I wanted to know, what or if there is a name for Argonath And Parallel Universe Community.

Like for example; both communities being called  "The MEGA COMMUNITY" or "Project struggle" (both community's struggle on a constant basis ).

I'd prefer to see something like that rather then treating them as separate community's, although they are sister community's, owned by same owners, share a lot of members between them.

I would love to see more cross community stuff, like Clans being on both ParUni and Argonath, a few already are .

Edit: Please post your opinions, suggestions.

You honestly want UX on Argonath? :P

Either way, it's not going to happen whilst I posses influence over UX. :skull:

I would love to see more cross community stuff.
Stable scripts with clear objectives would be great, as straight deathmatching gets boring and tedious after a bit.
I was particularly fond of the old turf wars, they seemed to have been disabled now. Capture your audience with a solid game-mode and I'm sure people would visit Paruni more often and stick around.
Don't chew up my balls for saying this but, I think the server owners should perhaps get a little more involved in what they'd like Paruni to be like. A little more promotion using Argonath may also help to integerate both communities. Although, I'm currently lacking in the idea department to suggest how they may do this.

Paruni currently has a highly competent leader/scripter. Not sure if this happens already but, greater input/involvement from server owners would help garner more members, as they've successfully built Argonath to a good standard in terms of player quantity.

Like for example; both communities being called  "The MEGA COMMUNITY" or "Project struggle" (both community's struggle on a constant basis ).
Silly, in my opinion. :conf:

Try to ridicule us, try to demolish our reputation. But be sure to bring a f**king sledgehammer, because we're not going to roll over and die that easily.

The thing is that Argonath includes all RP servers and only GTA game multiplayer and Parallel Universe united DM/Freeroam servers in any game it will be succeeded to build the community...

They are parallel and cross only within clans membership and multi games, played by people...

I did not check yet the situation with Parallel Universe, looks for me more inactive then active... At least I do not see any Counter Strike servers being active there and populated... As far as i notice only sa:mp DM server started some activity, all other servers successfully died... Part of it is the participating in developing rank hungry people, who got some status of developers and successfully forgot/ignored their work...

If it is not true I will be only happy, but as i said, from my lack of knowledges it seems like dead community and project...

You found paradise in Argonath. You had a good game, you made good friends. The admins protected you and there were courts of law. So you didn't need a friend like me. Now you come and say "Aragorn, give me justice." But you don't ask with respect.

A dead or dieing project? Bullshit in my opinion. We get new players daily and most nights have around 10-15 people for a good while, enough for people to DM; that's the SA:MP server. The CS 1.6 server is different and is populated mostly all of the time.

In my eyes, there are a couple of problems that the ParUni community faces.

One is that time needs to be spent re-organising the forum so that it matches this forum which in turn is nicely organised and easy to navigate. Tai is supposed to be the Webmaster of the ParUni forum but I am sure that with Webmastering here, leading the IV:MP server and being an admin on SA:MP he has better things to do. I believe that it is time to let someone else who wants to do it, do it. There are plenty of people who I know will be happy to do it which would benefit a lot.

Second is that it needs to be more well advertised. It is not hard to make an advert for it, which looks decent, and post it on the SA:MP Forum. This can instantly gain players if posted at the right time and contains the right information. I know that the owners of it are busy are a lot of the time, but a meeting between all developers of ALL servers needs to take place to discuss such matters. There have been times when I have tried to talk to Quinn over MSN about matters that have just been ignored. I have tried to get yourself, Roxor, onto the server when I have been on Argonath RPG so that you can see what actually goes on. Doesn't it look good if the owner of a server drops by once in a blue moon?

The third problem is the scripting and the current scripts. Before Boozman was made an SA:MP Moderator on here he was the server leader and also the scripter of SA:MP. Since being made a moderator, we have lost our only scripter and been left with scripts that are half developed and bugged as hell. If we had someone who was willing to script a script which was unique and fun, we could increase out player base a lot. When Argonath Stunts came around, they started to include Deathmatch Zones which we, the developers of ParUni SA:MP, were told would not be kept. I believe that they have kept them which means that there is now practically no difference between the two servers. What is the point in having the two servers if they are both the same? Why not develop one server which en-corporates all the functions? That is not my final thoughts, just something that came to my head while I was writing this.

tl;dr -> More advertising + Better scripting

Scripting and advertising is one thing.
Building a stable community is another.

Aragorn, although I regard you as "Dear leader", not only when I ban people for flaming you in ParUni (Banned Lianne),  I agree with Ollie to some extent although you are right in some parts, but you are duty bound to at-least check in on ParUni once in a while, do your homework

Ollie, despite Boozman leaving to be moderator here :(, I'm sure with such gods of wars such as Jupiter, Ares, Indigo, the community in general , SA:MP specifically will live.

I have nothing against Argonath stunts, but I think it's waist; the old leaders, Managers of ParUni wanted to add Stunts to the server, people do it anyway, there was plans to make it ParUnis Stunts+DM, but then Argonath stunts came and...
When ParUni people complained (no other word for it) about argonath stunts creation the defence on Argonath Stunts side was that we thought players where being stolen from ParUni to Stunts, now ParUni SA:MPis more active. I would prefer if the community was a community, and not different things, working together only fixes stuff, not independent, not parallel (no pun intended), but together.

Either way, it's not going to happen whilst I posses influence over UX. :skull:
FUUUU,

I did not mean clans, as it's far too complicated with DM clans, NP isa clan of freinds not aimed at anything in particular, we go where it is fun, and we voted in majority to make a ParUni division, because it was fun, but the members accounts are bugged, so they tell me personally they do not want to play... why would ANYONE want to play where they have no more fun, they care, but they can only care so much.

I made this thread before realising Boozman had left his position as scriptwriter, I had serious hope we was able to prosper, but like many times before, me and you, and the rest where let down - but we will not surrender *smokes smoke free, tobacco free chocolate cigar in style of Winston Churchill. *

Hi Aragorn, Hi Sauron, Hi Gandalf, Hi Beowulf.
How about you make sure you not only return my greetings, but make sure it's in ParUni ?

I did... And did not find any Counter Strike server... Neither site is developed...

As about Ollie comment - I suppose its about sa:mp server... With that I said it has some moves in activity... About advertisement it is up to ParUni developers team, not a question to us... Feel like needs advertisement on sa:mp forums? - go and advertise...

As about Stunt server - it for sure should be the ParUni project not to mess with the pure Roleplay Universe of Argonath RPG...

As for RoXor - I hardly remember any requests on my MSN...

I did not know this topic was made, but ok.

Aragorn/R0X0R.. As god of war I am still constantly trying to develop the SA:MP server, now I feel we have a stable SA:MP developers team if they just get on with there job instead of worrying about the forum and argonath then it will succeed.

So my advice to Ollie, my advice to Curse, my advice to Francis.. start getting admins ingame, you start going ingame.

Jupiter.

Unfortunately that's true...

Regardless where it is asked (Don't think I have your msn), we want owners to come >:).

Jupiter that is good advice, but it's not that easy, I could go in game and be AFK, but that'd be bad.
I am doing my college work whilst I post on forums,  I am putting work first before fun, even then I want to support the community, my job is luckily manageable without being in game as our Admins are of high quality, but still, like I do with the majority of your advice and guidance, it'll be honoured.

I tried. Got no support from any Gods of War....almost got removed because nothing was going on. The CPanel access rights kept changing, I wasn't told about the changes or informed with the new access info, so I resigned. As far as I'm aware. CS:S is a waste of time - people have their regular servers they go to, and as a CS:S player I can say that safely, meaning that no-one wants to try new places.
