When Marlen was clsoed you ran back to Gvardia, Steve was begging to be accepeted by saying "i wont leave this time", how many times you repeated this phrase?
So, in order to NOT turn out as a backstabbing douchebag and break your promiss of "not leaving" you created a scene so you would get kicked and join Marlen and precious Richard.
Manos was slightly accused by Tony for lieng and used this as an excuse to join his friend.

My hit men were not after you. You chose to disobey Gvardia and defend Richard who is a well known enemy of both families.
Strict instructions were given to avoid attacks on you until you had become hostile, by which point we had you killed at Pershing Square.

The situation is irrelevant now anyway, I'd like to wish Marlen the best of luck and I hope it will grow to be like it once was.
