Lag of the Server

Hey,

Today there were 156 players online.

1st of all: I couldnt even enter the server. It took 10 trys ! Sometimes i was Banned (-.-") sometimes nothing appeared... Then, when I finally could join the game, the Lag is INCREDIBLE ! When i write something, it appears 2 mins after i wrote it. And then after 5 mins, the game stops. The chat stops, and every member stops to move, or when they moved, they cant stop to move. IDK why but the Lag today was heavy. I think 156 players are just too much !

idk :S my internet was the same as every day

We will do some maintenance to reduce the lag, though server and network have more than enough capacity at this time.

Hello, I have never experienced lag on the Argonath server. The only time you will feel lag and delay is when you stand near 50 people since the game is not developed to take that.

And the game is 5 years old or more I guess.

But if you got a bad connection to the server you may feel some lag, I got 20-30 ping on the server since I live in Europe, Sweden.
And I think the server is located in Germany or something.

What kind of connection do you have Battle? I got fibre at home, 100 up 100 down. But only ADSL in my apartment.

Maybe I lied that "I have never felt any lag", some lag have I experienced before but not something that stays for long.

i got 152 up and about 10 down but i haven't had serious problems before.

I got 1Mb/s connection, my line quality is top notch (A) and I've never lagged on the server.

And I have one of the best connections of most people here. Let alone the best ISP in the Southern United States.

With my "fibreglass connection" (really fast cable connection) i have pings about 20 - 50 and even i experience the lag,starting from 140 people IG.


Question : Was there ever someone having a lower ping than 20 ?  :redface:

hi, well today i woke up and went to the SA:MP thing, and i saw Argonath RPG had 158 players, and i was excited! i was like yaya! more players, i went in and i was playing fine, everything was fine, no lag, no nothing, no problems at all. seems as if it must be your computer.

Can't be. The lag somewhat resembles that of SA:MP 0.2X, only 10x not as bad.
