Hello.

I had this assignment at school today involving English grammar. I did very well, better than I expected it to go actually. My teacher have for a long time told me that I am really good in English. Not only writing but talking too.

Anyhow, today he told me that I am the best student he have ever had in any of his classes and that he would like me to use my English capabilities as best as I can, which he suggested that I should go to an International School somewhere in Europe.

So, I will go to secondary school next year, but I really have no idea what I should do. Neither do I trust those tests I can take on the internet about what I will become in fifteen years or whatever..

I have been thinking of something in the North Sea, within oil production, but my father told me that a lot of work capabilities will be taken away within a few years, since we will soon enough lack money. So, I have been thinking for a while about educating myself as a civil engineer og an industrial electrician. I have also been thinking of taking business lessons in Hungary but that's pretty much a long way to go.

So my question is...Would it be a good thing to take education in a foreign country?

Sincerly,
Aksel.

Are you planning on becoming an international student?

Though much is taken, much abides; and though we are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are; One equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

That was not the exactly the plan, but after I got the "head up" by my English teacher and mathematic teacher it have been trough my head a few times, yes. Can you give me some information about which school I should eventually get more information about if I decide to go to an international secondary school?

Hi Eos,

Through experience it would be best to start out in your own country until you have a name for yourself. This way its much easier for you if things do not work. This is just my opinion though, dont let people drag you down if you wish to travel!

S'right, you gotta let your name be known on the street and later pick the best corner.

No, I was just kidding there. I'd love to be studying in a foreign country, but I'm not capable in doing so.

If you can go on to do Further Education, do it, I'd love to continue it at the minute, but due to the UK's raised the intuition fee's it would cost me more to do so, I could go to college but Im not too sure.

If it does you well in life, do it!

You're eleven years old considering you are just about to go into a secondary school so you have around seven years to decide where to go.

My teacher have for a long time told me that I am really good in English. Not only writing but talking too.

Laughed my ass off after reading those two sentences.
ironnnnnnyyyyy

grammare have ben gud

Anyhoo, I personally wouldn't bother with further education, considering the fact that I'm not planning on getting much education at all. However, if you truly want to make something of yourself by using your smarts, go for it. The decision is entirely up to you, it's not quite wise to ask for random opinions on an online board, is it?

tl;dr jump off a tall building and die

btw why is this dellstorm wanker typing like he's writing a bloody letter for an english lesson?

Dear John,

I haven't heard from you from quite a while. Can you please send me a picture of you naked so I could hang it up on my wall and admire the beauty of it every night? Anyways, blablablablabla this blalblablalblablal that my mother died blablablablabal in the ass blablablabalbalba cooked dog blablablaba.

Get an education in computer science in Russia. Might not do your English a lot of good, but it wil ensure a nice future.

11 years (?) and studying in a foreign country?

Think about the steps; you would have to move with your parents, since you don't have the age, nor money (If I am correct) to live on your own. And you would leave your entire life in Norway behind, like friends and family (unless you have siblings in the country you will study).

My advice is: Ask your parents. They've known you your entire life and are most likely to give you way better advice than a bunch of 15 year old on a public forum.

And don't forget to follow your dream, do what YOU want. NO ONE should have influence on the decisions you make in life. It's YOUR life and YOUR responsibility.

Stay in Norway and make loads of money. I had the oppurtunity to study my last year in the UK (2010-2011) but I turned it down and I haven't regret it, yet. I am to(o?) cool for UK and I heard it was like.. really boring there.

Anyway, stay in Norway if you want to be a chicken like me and be comfortable. Never take any risks in your life, or do. Yeah..
