Crysis 2 is an upcoming first-person shooter video game developed by Crytek and published by Electronic Arts, due for release on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 in March 2011. It is the sequel to the 2007 video game Crysis and its parallel expansion game, Crysis Warhead. The story was written by authors Richard Morgan. and Peter Watts, who has also written a novel adaptation of the game. It will be the first game to showcase the CryEngine 3 game engine.

The world has been ravaged by a series of climatic disasters and society is on the verge of total breakdown.  Now the aliens have returned, with a full invasion force bent on nothing less than the total annihilation of mankind, starting by trying to rip the heart out of Earth's most iconic city.

In New York, terrifying alien invaders stalk the streets and a nightmare plague strikes down the city's myriad inhabitants with brutal epidemic speed.  The city's systems are in chaos, its streets and skyline are smashed and in flaming ruin. This is New York City like you've never seen it before.

Neither paramilitary law enforcement nor the might of the US military machine can stand against the invaders, and all who choose not to flee are dead men walking.  Just to survive in this maelstrom of death will require technology beyond anything any modern soldier has ever seen.

One man will inherit that means to survive. One supersoldier, wielding the combat enhancement technology of the future with Nanosuit 2, will make the last stand to save humanity from destruction in the urban jungle that is New York City.

God my computer will probably fry when I try to run this, although apparently the graphics will be just as intense but; the draw distance is going to be decreased so it doesn't load as often.

And we still don't have the graphic card capabilities to run Crysis 1 (Maximum settings possible), and it's been 3 years!

Now, when this game comes out for PC, it'll be probably 3-5 years before we have computers powerful enough to run the game on maximum settings!

Now, when this game comes out for PC, it'll be probably 3-5 years before we have computers powerful enough to run the game on maximum settings!

:o My Nvidia Geforce GTS 250 card can run Crysis with maxed out graphics with a nice smooth fps. Although when i put it to max resolution it always crashes, no idea why. (So i have to put up with it on second to top resolution :/  )

I actually can run Crysis 1 and Warhead on Maximun Settings :3, However i don't know about crysis 2, That will be really much i guess..

I could run Crysis Warhead on 3/4 graphics.. (Gamer? I think).. On last.. one.. I could only get 25-30FPS.. and It was not ejoyable as in Gamer (3/4) where I had 40-45 FPS. (1680X1500)

We do, though. Two 580s or 5870s eat it for breakfast at 60 fps. That's where the actual game is the limit.. so poorly coded  I can only run it at around 60 odd stable on gamer at 1920x1200 and around 35 on extreme.

Crysis 2 Will feature 3D Gameplay, and according a note from the Developers James Cameron itself has seen the game and confirmed that the quality of the 3D Will be like his Movie, Avatar.
