What's wrong with harming other players? We do it on SAMP all the time.

Building shit is cool, but it can't be the only aspect of the server, imo there needs to be a PVP system in place.

Currently, I believe there's anti-griefing.. We might have to give specific people trusted to build / destroy etc.. but not sure yet, in anyway It's not up to me, but Leaders again.

Not neccesarily true.
You could have safe-zones, where it's more like freebuild/resource gathering.

And you could have zones (again good examples are deep forests and certain roads) that are PvP.
If you go out in the wilderness without taking care to prepare yourself at the safezones, risks are involved.

One server I play on runs such an system, works perfectly fine. And RP still occours even under the actual PVP fights. The friend I bought minecraft for and me currently lives near an mine. Wich also happens to be closeby to one of the "town owners" in the server. Suffice to say, we have run into alot of roleplay situations against that player. Wich occoured under the pvp situations.

Hell, for an minute, it even felt like old style mta:vc roleplaying but with PVP as an twist to it. Wich I find intresting. Very intresting actually.

*This does not mean i'm open for an all out ala deathmatching type of server.

I'm still trying to learn the recipes of Crafting :P.. Not able to remember them all by heart o.o. But well, without it.. You can't survive :P

The system we are using is having a white list, but i'm not planning on using it, since it will go against what Argonath stands for and not letting new players join and such. What i'm thinking about tho, is to let admins teleport players to players if they want, since Minecraft is basiclly having endless terrain, which can make it hard to find each other.

So if you are planning on building something big, i suggest you doing it far away from the starting zone.

Currently working on my own little project on SP.

Dug quite deep, though the iron is rare, and I'm running low on iron pick axes... :P


What is anti-griefing script? like you cant touch what others made? That would suck tbh, then it will be hard to duo build a castle for example.
