It would enhance the servers performance and decrease client side lag if the other islands were removed.

Its impossible to remove things from the map.. Therefore, you can't just remove the whole island!

hmm... how about we delete the bridge so no one can get to the other side? OR we could make a big dome thing like in The Simpsons movie.

As it is not possible to remove island..blocks will not work either as islands would still be there. Not supporting this idea

Adding items to block bridges would create even more lag as it would have to load all the islands and the added objects aswell now.
And as you cant remove items which R* scripted into the game this idea cant work.

I am talking about in general, many players say their game lags, there is no way to remove other islands to try help decrease lag.
