My cars go very, VERY slow in multiplayer, need some technical support

OK, so I noticed that I always got left behind when in a car chase or a race and that has been bothering me for quite a while now, and today I tested my car speed with another player (many thanks to him/her) with sentinels, and mine was moving unbelievably slow compared the the other. Does anyone have an idea what's wrong? here's my system: Intel Celeron with 1.8GHz, 767MB ram and Nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4200 (only 64MB RAM, but it meets the minimum requirements) and windows xp (SP2). cheers!

Check your ping. It is possible that a high ping slows down the car. Also check what other things are running on your computer that might slow down the program.

My cousin has this problem too, but he also haves it in Single Player.

I ts like when you lose the radio also just exit and enter the car and itl be fine. the bug is in sa as i encountered it in singleplayer too (on ps2)

IF we are talking about the same thing (i only get it once in a while after pausing)

draw distance to lowest?
visual effets low?
anti aliasing off?
resolution 800x600 ?

I have had this problem for ages but one hink was my bandwidth. I repeat if i was you do not run msn or skype while playing else you wont reacht he top speed i found out.
Cars you always be alright in are the NRG500 and the hotring.

The loses effect always happens with me, IT IS NOT YOUR PC.
i have a decent pc and me n jc were filming and i noticed a i walk slow when i use ALT and everone else noticed it with me.
This may be due to me having a shit ISP. These may be bugs just cope with it i have. its alot better than lagging like fuck on VC:MTA Lol.
i have engine sound problems but i just cope by cranking up the radio
the sound is on a loop anyway it has nothing to do with your pc is fucked.

Depending on what keys you use it could be as simple as a Broken key on the keyboard.. Your graphic card and PC Specs are good enough to play GTA to Minimum.
