!IMPORTANT! GTA IV command...

Hi there, I'm a new member here, lets get straight to the point, alot of times, I hear people complaining on server that they have 'grey' textures on roads or all textures missing and stuttering game.

The problem is GTA IV tries to access more memory than your hardware can give, which creates this 'grey' problem, this is called a memory leak, now dont be sad my friends, there is a fix for this which Im gonna try and explain in detail.

[Values]:

LOW TEXTURES (256MB Video Cards)
-memrestrict 188743680
-memrestrict 209715200
-memrestrict 230686720

 MED TEXTURES (512MB Video Cards)
-memrestrict 262144000
-memrestrict 293601280
-memrestrict 314572800

HIGH TEXTURES (1GB+ Video Cards)
-memrestrict 629145600
-memrestrict 650117120
-memrestrict 681574400

These are values which can fix your memory leak, so this is how its done:

1.Make a file called "commandline.txt"(without the quotes " ") in your GTA IV folder.

2.Copy one of the above value according to how Ive specified them and your card, try the highest value in ONE of the categories first, and paste it into your commandline.txt file (with the - sign, like this one over here -memrestrict 650117120) and save your file.

3.Play the game and check if you notice any stuttering, if you do, try a lower number, if it still stutters even with the lowest number, you configuration aint good enough to handle GTA IV.

One more thing, do not use any other commands with this, they may override(make it useless) this setting.

Yeah sure, it wont HURT, these are the RECOMMENDED values, feel free to edit them, but I cant offer any sort of support for this.

ONE MORE THING:If you modded your game and have some problem with FPS or something after this commandline, I'm not responsible, mods=more polygons(graphical), and this command RESTRICTS memory usage, mods require more memory, which leads to the problem of stuttering and FPS drop returning.

Currently knows graphical mods that could render this command useless:
VisualIV - not much, sort of increases lag.
ENB series - You really shouldnt use this mod, too much bloom, too much reflection, too much everything in short - leads to MAJOR FPS drop like from 50 to 25-35.
Any 'Good' looking car mods.

NOTE:If you use Vsync(enable Triple Buffering from your NVIDIA control panel or CCC) and if you dont use Vsync(disable Triple Buffering). Vsync basically sets the max FPS equal to your refresh rate of monitor, for example in general LCD monitors, the max refresh rate is 60, so the max frames your GPu will make will be 60, this reduced tearing in graphics(graphical corruption lines, line improperly aligned tiles on a wall) and saves alot of rames of your GPU(saves work, power, etc)

However, its your own personal choice to use Vsync.
