I first joined Argonath in November 2007. This is the story of ArgonathRPG from my perspective.
Some of you may not know whom I am, maybe no-one does anymore?
ArgonathRPG were a second home for me, you saved me from several depressions, you took away the loneliness when my girlfriend left me, and you changed several bad days to good days.
Times changed, so did Argonath. The first big change for me was when the ARPD changed their leadership from Luca Scalise to Hank(?) and... well, I don't even remember who else anymore. But anyways, the change in ARPD made people protest, people were angry. Why did they change "our" server?
After a while, we got used to the changes, and things went on, even to the better.
The first man to help me in the server was [AV]Sig (Nowadays [R*]Indigo I think?), he bought me a house, a car, and still I let him down by breaking the rules again and again.
I learned, and I stayed on the server for TWO years. I became a "veteran" player, I ran the Argonath Radio along with Johannes (Janek?), and I also was in the management of the [AV] clan.
Things changed, the server became "official", and a lot of new players joined the community. The so called "veteran" players ( many of us, including me ), were disappointed over this change, because now other people might aswell learn, and maybe.. maybe learn and overrun us in the end?
Recognize the story?
The point of this is, Aragorn and Gandalf and all you others in management of ArgonathRPG - as you might know - people and players will always complain, we will always moan.
But in the end, we love your work, we love what you do, we love the changes you make, we love that you spend your time in real life to work on this wonderful community that you've created.
This is a celebration for ArgonathRPG, that you managed to keep an active player base for this long time proves something unique.
I haven't played on ArgonathRPG for a year, still you left a mark in my life that I will never forget.
