GTA IV:MP Problem

Hey Argonath, I Need a bit of help. I just recieved GTA IV and it works, the problem is that i decided to get IV:MP. So, i followed the installation guide and all. I Tried to run IV:MP but i get a message telling me to get Patch 1.0.7.0. So i did of the 'Windows live' website if that is the right place, But when i tried to run IV:MP It came up with 'SecuROM is not responding' and i couldnt access GTA IV or IV:MP.
Im using Windows Vista 64-bit operating system. Any help ?

the version IV:MP calls for is outdated.
and IV:MP is still in early beta. there isnt any easy way around it yet.

Do you happen to have TeamViewer? but if you feel discomforted, I can write here as best as I can.

So, i followed the installation guide and all.

I don't like this sentence.
It is crucial that you follow every single step.


1) First, ensure you have a legal copy of GTA ( As said above, no piracy talk.You can play pirated or legal but you'll have to find out yourself how)
2) Second, here is the needed patch to start the game: GTA IV Patch 7

3) After you install it, go here: Latest Client and download

4) The process of installation is very simple, run the executable from the unpacked ".rar" file and install to your directory( There will be your launcher)

5) here is the server IP, currently supporting 32 players.IP: 178.63.52.144:9999 (No password) ( Remember: If you get an error "Failed to connect to ...." it means the server is full! )
6) Run "LaunchIVMP.exe" file located in your GTA IV directory. it will execute the game and take you to an In game server browser.
7) PROTIP: You have to have the IP address "copied in your click" ( means that you need to copy the IP before entering the "LaunchIVMP.exe")
8) There is a tab below when you enter the game named "Quick Launch". Press it and then two fields will appear, just CTRL+V in the first one and press OK.

Thanks void and Neave, IV:MP did run to a certain point until it came to a black screen, It stayed there for quite a while so I had to Alt Tab out. I tried to run IV:MP again and got the message 'SecuROM Launcher has stopped working'.

Does "LaunchIVMP.exe" generate an error? If yes, please write/snap it.

No error at all, Just the 'SecuROM Launcher has stopped working'

Try running IVMP as Administrator, might work..

I Have followed every single peice of this guide, Very closley, but when i try to run IV:MP, I still get SecuROM Launcher has Stopped working
