IV:MP - Installation Guide

IV:MP T3 is an old client, which is not supported anymore, therefore server list doesn't work.
Currently we are working on new (RS2) scripts, which will come out on the newest IV:MP client very soon.

Quick Question since i havent been on in a while - You guys still using T3 client with port 9999?

Hello, i got GTA IV for PC and I install IVMP - 0.1 RC2 into my download folder and it wont show up as LaunchIVMP.exe I can't find that in there thanks.

The installer is what you downloaded. You need to run it so it can install IV:MP into your GTA IV's directory.

I have now done that, I can LaunchIVMP now but I can't see 'Server browser' etc..

You could just quick connect with the IP (mentioned in the first post i think?)

I have a problem, i can't connect to the server. I used all the ip's and ports available even with the pass: RS2 and still the same. It's stuck on the "Establishing connection to the server". I have RC2 and 1.0.0.7. I thought that server is off or smth but on this topic = http://www.argonathrpg.eu/index.php?topic=93893.0 it says "status: online" so im confused. Thx for help

That topic seems to be a little bit outdated. Currently the development server is restricted for staff only. When we will open the server for public, we will announce it on IV:MP forum boards, so keep checking, it might happen very soon.

Its been like 6 months since the public server was shut down. Why shutdown the public one? Why not keep it up with no new script support?

Actually, we believe that the RC3 client might be released any day now, that does not mean that we will open the server the first day of RC3 release, but we will do anything in our power to open the new server for public as soon as possible.
If you are talking about the T3 server, we shut it down, because IV:MP doesn't support it any longer, so that means no more new players and sadly lots of regular players already left. Also the RS1.7 script itself was rotten from the inside due to too many diffrent developers working on it through the years. Basically, there is no point in keeping that script running.

Oh I get it now.
Could always go back to RS1 and T2 or w/e it was back then xD
