you mean the patch 1.0.8.0 ? If so , Make sure that IV:MP doesnt support this patch.

use /register to create a account and you will be spawned into the city.

I have installed GTA IV and IVMP  I used all files like on my old PC before and everything launches now (SP&MP) BUT it wont let me connect to the server.. it doesn´t freeze it just keeps connecting.. I waited for several mins and re-tried it many times but it still dont work ;/ someone out here who can help me ?

Does it give you any error when trying to connect?

Check if ur patch is 1.0.7.0 nd ur client should be GTA IVMP T3 client
I had the same issue i installed T3 client it works without error.
To check if it is T3 client when u on the IVMP u will see client at bottom left. If it is not T3 client download from here-http://www.gta-ivmp.com/
Make sure u have T3 client
Is your error "Failed to connect to ip. Retrying" ?

Make sure you don't have spaces before or after the IP. Also make sure you don't have more than 4 digits in the port

Just copy the IP again and make sure there are no spaces BEFORE or AFTER the numbers:

Its not tht problem cuz if the port is wrong u wont join hehe

melan, there's no need for double posting. You can edit your previous answer.

Look at what he says:

It means he never connected to the server, which means it is possible that he may have the wrong IP/port.
Or, like I said, spaces before or after the numbers.
This mistake is more common than you probably think
