I just installed gta & samp at my friends laptop.
But, i dont know how, but there stands ''Retrieving info'' ping 9999 and players 0/0
I think that's a sign of internet not working, but internet explorer and all other things are just working.
and i'm sure i did the good IP, i did it even a multiple times.
i hope you could help me
Best regards, Jason Wade.

-thanks.

Make sure you have the correct ip, 178.63.52.144:7777

Make sure you have 0.3c which you will most likely have if its just been downloaded.

Also make sure that you have allowed samp to pass through the firewall.

your friend is running a firewall that blocks certain applications and ports

either its running on strict mode and only allowing programs that have already been preallowed

or samp and google chrome have already been blocked

either way make sure to read what comes up in those messages from the firewall before clicking block, because if you block the wrong thing, sometimes its almost impossible to unblock it

I'll make firewall stop, and how to open ports, and unblock things? At a Windows Vista?

it all depends on which firewall you are using most of them just have options and a black and white list, if your pretty certain your computer has no virus's then you can just clear the black list
