What? I dont get it, why do you care if EA knows your personal details, it's not like that they are going to scam/ do anything else illegal / wrong to you. Tho you're making sounds like it's gonna be so hard to install it on origin , will it be?

And for everyone who want see some full 10 minutes gameplays and such, Search on youtube alpha gameplays, lots of videos.

Why not? It's EA, they're decidedly not to be trusted with anything, ever.

Anyway, they reserve the right to sell it to third parties, after which point EA has nothing to do with it. Why would they reserve this right when Valve does no such thing?

They can't overtake Steam because Origin is a monopoly software/service. Why?  The reason is simple, Steam can't sell BF3 to compete with Origin.

  I agree with Trey. I mean, I don't like Origin or Steam. They are like an evil necessity.  And I doubt Origin will "try to overtake Steam" because they are not the same thing. Origin only sells EA games for a start.

Yes it's a downloadable program similar to steam. If you buy anything from the origin store you have to download the program to download the game.

And if I buy a copy of the disk? will it download me automaticlly when I install the game?

   Most likely it would probably make you install origin even if you buy the disk.  Yeah I look forward to playing . It would be the first FPS I have played on PC though.
