I'm sensing sarcasm.
as many battlefield games never had singleplayer (campaign).

They had a multi-player against the PC, which was called singeplayer.
It was nice to train yourself, as it was much easier.
I used to play that on BF2, had about a ratio of 8 or so..

BF3 sounds great and all, I've even played it. But once a COD player, always a COD player. MW2 was when I first started FPS gaming overall. And thats why COD is special to me.

The name was nam.. Battlefield vietnam :P that was my first FPS, tho the M60 was waaaay over powered in vietnam. I still love both series, I just think that COD is more about epic campaign and BF is more about epic MP, but that's just me.
Besides, maybe cod can accutally change the quality and sound from game to game. there's no improvent in the visual category, at all.

When I started playing video games on the PC, I played Medal Of Honor:Allied Assault. 8 years later, EA/Dice released BF3 and now compare both games, they're completely different.

My first FPS was allied assault too =3. Then my first CoD game was Call of Duty 3.

Are discussing first games we played or battlefield 3 (HINT: IT'S A BATTLEFIELD 3 TOPIC)

So when the topic says "Battlefield 3" we can't talk about any other game? Or even compare it to other games by the same or other publisher(s)?

Forgot to mention.. CoD was my first FPS game on a console. But on the other hand, Counter Strike was my FPS game on a PC.

Honestly, millions of players still play CS after its release which was like 12 years ago.

We discuss about Battlefield and compare it to other games when necessary, but not 'oh, my first game was call of duty' and that's the whole comment.
My point is: stay on-topic...

My first FPS was Battlefield 2 Modern Combat (PS2). It was amazing!

Although at least you could drive pickup trucks with a durka durka rocket jihad out of the sunroof. I wish BF3 had this. Oh and you could also do heli backflips, and there were ramps and shit to jump cars over to get to the bases.

If a discussion other than the main discussion starts that contributes to the topic, I don't see how it can be off topic. I rather have such discussions here than have 500000 topics with each a different subject that can easily fit in half the amount of topics.

That game was awesome! Switching between soldiers was also epic.

I had the BF2 ultimate package or whatever it was called, meaning all the versions, and the 2 exclusives versions, ( modern combat and another one ) , didnt work for me on the pc :(

What I loved in BF2:Special ops was the fact that you could throw a rope and climb on it, or slide on it, that was just epic.
