I've let BF3 slide for ages because of Origin and hearing a bunch of my friends talk it about it started making me slide. I went to the nearest JB HiFi but they were sold out, and EB Games called JB and wouldn't lower their prices so I went home to order it over the net.

I was installing Origin, when I remembered the whole EULA clause thing again. I read it for myself, and I shook my head and cancelled the installation. I will not knowingly let someone do that to my PC.

Bought BF3 for PS3 the other day, its absolutely amazing.

To PC BF3 owners, do you guys get that DirectX error? If so, have you found a fix for it?

The game's running awesome on Ultra settings, but the DirectX error came up twice on the first mission (Campaign) so I decided to bump down to High and it ran perfectly until the beginning of Operation Guillotine when it crashed and the DirectX error came up again.

I'm running an install repair on the game. Btw, it prompted me to install the latest drivers before starting the game for first time and I did that.

I'm playing this game on PS3 and i would recommend it to everyone who didn't buy it and considering to buy it.
The graphics are great, its realistic, the Multiplayer is the best multiplayer i ever played, many weapons, very wide maps and the frames per second are great.

Even though I have nothing to hide, I am far too uneasy and skeptical to allow EA to essentially scan my hard drives and give information to third parties. This thing is the brick wall keeping me from sleep deprivation.
