[Tutorial]Fix for Updated or Steam versions of GTA:IV and GTA:SA to run with MP

Ive been working for the past few hours and have isolated a solution to make both SAMP and MTA SA work on a fully updated version of GTA SA, this should only be done if you cannot downgrade it e.g have bought it thru steam. so far its been working perfectly and Ive had no issues.

I must admit before i bought the game through steam, i had been using an illegal version, and had a fair few bugs that most people didn't get.

Anyway, the solution to the problem is simple, just copy an original copy of GTA SA's .exe file into the GTA SA folder and then install SAMP and or MTA into that folder, and it works fine.

Note: the latest .exe for mine(the steam version) is named "gta-sa.exe" whereas this particular .exe is named "gta_sa.exe", so it shouldnt need to replace it or anything but i am unsure whether its the same for the non-steam versions.

Ive recently figured a way to get a steam or fully updated version of GTA IV to run IVMP, as i am unable to downgrade IV or SA because i am using a steam version

Here is the file you'll need(Thanks to Twenty for Providing the .exe file), its recommended to backup your current GTAIV.exe just in case.

Once your current GTAIV.exe is backed up, just copy this one into the GTAIV install folder, and IVMP will run as if your game is only updated to the version IVMP uses.


(Note: IVMP does not run when added into steam as a non steam app, this will make it crash)

the steam version of the game already does not require a CD to run it

Also, to crack GTA IV, you need to change the launch .exe not the main .exe

although i beleive the gta sa .exe i had uploaded was a crack, and it is now removed from my post.

The GTA IV .exe file is legit
