Just got my IS-7. Incredible slope on the front, it can save your ass from Mauses head on and stuff but it does not have the all-round armor from IS-4 to make you afford encirclements. In the other hand though there is a lot of mobility so I just gotta learn to avoid exposing my back hehe.

I can say from my initial experience that indeed IS-7 is a bigger IS-3 and it really shines in clan wars.

IS-7 is a strong nut to crack.

However, I just finally got IS-4 and it's a great tank. Not fully upgraded yet though, I still need the S70 beast and the new engine but it's good. It actually took me some time to get used to it, because of the IS-3 but when you learn how to play with it, you can do everything.

Here's my best battle with it:





Notice that only 10 seconds were left and that I had only 43/1790 health. It was a really close one. I lost about 80% of health when fighting ISU-152 while taking fire from arty in the same time. But I succeeded. You will see that in the end T32 was my last victim, he actually managed to shoot at me for about 10 times. I simply understood that he can't kill me so I killed enemy arty first. LoL at someone saying "FFS draw" in the end...

Yeah definitely IS-4 is just as good as IS-7. You can kind of feel like a Maus because you are practically just as slow, powerful and all-round armored as one of them.

When you get the C-70 gun you'll love it.

Looks like it will be hard to hit the lower frontal armour plate a.k.a the belly.

Also, will the russian techtree's patch take away IS4's S70 gun? I have heard that from some people, sounds somehow really impossible though.

I get an error tho when I try to install the patches ... Gives me one of these Cancel/Ignore/Repeat installation errors, and then I get another error but it's all in Russian so I can not understand... D:

Best f**king war game I have ever played, honestly you will never find a more fun combat game than this, I just finished downloading it (After 3 days of errors whilst trying to do so :P) and I'm already addicted.

One question, I downloaded and registred on the US version even though I'm British, do I have to download a europian version now, like the full game again?

Well, if you enjoy about 3 times bigger ping than the one you could have in EU server then keep playing in the US one.

Also, got the IS7, the slope is pretty good indeed. Really hard to master in public battles though but superior in clan wars. I enjoy the mobility a lot but I had more fun with my IS4 I think. However I didn't sell my IS4 since it will become a tier 10 as well. I'll have two tier 10's, hurray!

P.S. We should sometimes play in platoon... That goes to anyone from this community who plays WoT in EU server.

IS-7 is not the best choice for random battles. It is a tank made to work under wolfpack strategy. A group of 6-8 IS7s have a 90% chance to guarantee their team a victory, but that is only possible in clan wars.

Only if you are premium account you can play IS-7 well in random battles without losing cash.
