Had a look at the Type 59 tank with 0.6.7 and I have to say it is really nice.

Not to mention the lots of fun I get watching the overwhelming Russian majority and the handful of US players. Cold War nostalgia.

Just Started playing on EU Server, any tips ? :P been playing with that newb German Tank.. Still quite not knowing what to do next. been upgrading.. This Gun I purchased fires a bunch of shots, instead of a single, but does less damage..The first one made more damage, so i think i'll stick to it.

  I've not been playing long, but the burst fire gun is very good against light tanks with little armour. But if you go up 1 level to tier 2, it will not even scratch some tanks with thicker armour. Either way the first tanks you get are absolutely terrible.
 
  I saved up for the BT2 which is a pretty fast light tank (55km/h!) so you can flank them easily.

Matters on what kind of gameplay you like. If you enjoy camping and so on, I'd recommend a tank destroyer or artillery. If you rather prefer flanking attacks and such, go for the lights/mediums. But if you want to attack just straight away, go for the heavies. Personally I went for heavies. Also, if you want to be a part of a clan and participate in clanwars and such, just go for the heavies and artillery since they are the most effective. For instance, american T30 works well as a tank destroyer(TD), german MAUS is really effective in taking a beating (Heavy) and russian IS7 works well as a flanking machine (Medium).

I bought an M2 Light Tank just yesterday and a German light one today aswell (Tier 2). For the next days I will gather credits for artilery or tank destroyers to test out.

  I've currently got a M2 Light and a BT-2.  Can nearly afford a BT-7.  If you work as a team, I really enjoy leading light tanks round the flanks   Otherwise everyone is a bit lame and hides in trees.

Gonna get an M3 Stuart as soon as I can afford it. Artillery has very expensive ammo and didn't enjoy playing with it
