I have to buy New PC soon because my laptop is going to die.
So far i am choosing Dell Inspiron 580 Premium Package,Because it has good price and spec around 62,000 JPY(Around $600-620).
Here is the spec:
Quote
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
Core i5-760(2.80GHz,3.33GHz with Turbo Boost)
6GB DDR3 RAM
1TB 7200rpm HDD
ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB
I am happy with this for now, because i wouldnt play much game, most are SAMP,Emergency 4,SWAT4 or some old ones.
Also i dont need Sandy Bridge and expensive stuff.
though I have few question about this if anyone has this PC or similar:
  • Would GTA IV Runs well with this configuration? I Want to use mods also if possible.
  • Does GTA SA Works smoothly without problems in 64 bit?(Like 30-60FPS i want)
  • Would 64 bit OS cause problem with Other games?

Graphics card is pure bollocks. Otherwise the PC is enough to run even heavy photo/video rendering.
I'm currently running IV on 8800GT 512Mb at 20-50FPS, depending on how much is happening on my screen,
and when you compare my card and that HD5450... well, see yourself from here and here. (in the second link, my card is approx. same performance as 9600GT)

The bottom line? No, you can't run IV on that graphics card. Upgrade that graphics card (would cost approx. $150 to get one
for decent gaming like IV) and you got a nice sweet gaming PC for yourself which you can use for heavy rendering, too.

After Google'ing for some mins, I found that 9600GT is the only Graphics card which can come under my budget.
So, Can it give the same 40 FPS?

How could those do 40 fps on medium?...... Maybe at 1280x720.

Cause i have less than 40 fps on
Athlon II x3 @ 3.3ghz
4GB DDR3

And im playing on 1680x1050. Resolution is a huge difference. If you get 40 fps on 1024x768 then youll get 20 fps on 1080p (Thats 1920x1080 by the way)

I'd suggest you choose another graphics card.
I run GTA IV with medium settings at about 45fps. (1920x1080)

Sapphire HD5670 1gb @ 800Mhz(OC'ed)GPU speed and 1045Mhz(OC'ed) video ram speed
Thought my processor and RAM both suck:
Pentium Dual Core E6700 3.4Ghz(OC'ed)
2GB DDR2-800 RAM @ 850Mhz(oc)

Personally I have a Geforce GTX280, about double the performance of Icy's card, this runs San Andreas at a higher spec than its Max at 60FPS (NVidia Control Panel, Ainti Aliasing is now 16x, when Game Max is normally 3x)

You could actually get a slightly worse CPU, and spend the money on a better graphics card and it could perform better, I would recommend AMD Processors as you get more power for your money.
