This is only the beginning of the road, some things will get harder the more you work in the team. If you have haters now, expect even more anti-admin retards to harass you.

Considering you've made it this far though, you should do fine. :)

The most important part is interacting with others and meeting people from around the world.

After working with the administration team and the moderator team for almost a week, I can truly say that this is one heck of a great team to work with. Not only is it fun to be talking with, but also great with the mutual respect towards each other. Though I may add that with especially the moderator team, we stick with and for each other and take care of reports if others are unable to. It's an excellent experience and I do enjoy having this job.

But another point I would like to say is that now I truly noticed how Argonath is beyond the public chat. If you may have not noticed, we, as moderators, have been working our asses off with all the reports we get. Sometimes even having multiple moderators responding to them. But a tip those that are anti-admin, sending to us moderators messages such as, "I will report you", "I'll get Gandalf into this..." does not scare us one bit. We are working. You think it is easy making a decision? It's not. So if you honestly (and by honestly I mean truly know for 100 percent) know that we made a mistake, feel free to send a CALM private message either in-game or on forums saying the situation and what truly happened. I, personally, have already made a few mistakes and I usually publicly apologize for them. But threatening that you want to get Gandalf involved only proves that something is not right.

In the end, I would ask for a calm consideration and criticism at a small level. I, being completely open, am welcome to any criticism as long as it is on a down-low level and is humane. Thus, feel free to send me a message on forums in case of anything.

Your moderator,
Nathan_Aldebourne (Nathan).

Good to listen you help each other, you already get new friends from the admin team and that's a really good point. ArgonathRPG is for fun and friends initially. :)

Nathan... I love to see things like this because you dont know till you experience it and sometimes you are the only moderator on with 50 players and you get 10 reports every 60 seconds and then people ask you "can you check my report".... well yes I could... hang on Ill deal with the Dmer after I kick the 5 hackers.

Its not easy but its a position that should be respected.

I have heard of players harassing our new Moderators with threats such as "Remember that you are on trial period..." when being confronted because of rulebreaking.

I would like to make it clear that such bullshit will not be tolerated, and I will instantly ban anyone I catch intentionally harassing Moderators ingame, unless ordered otherwise by one of my superiors. Trial or not, once a person is appointed as a Moderator, they are part of the Admin Team, even though they have not yet reached full Administrator status. He / she may be learning and commit mistakes among the way, but they were chosen by the Owners and Community Leaders from the crop of the best and most competent players, for good reasons. They are here to prove themselves worthy of their positions, and to help the players of this community, not to be watched by players like an American embassy official in the Soviet Union.

If Moderators need any guidance or corrections, then that is the job and concern of the Higher Administration and the Administrators who also have the obligation to aid / teach the newcomers to the team, not of negative players who use the freshness of these Moderators in order to intimidate them. Some of them may become high-standing admins in the future and some may resign their duties, but nevertheless they are Moderators here and now, and thus members of the Argonath Admin Team.

An Admin's job is not very difficult, if only players will cooperate. One thing Admins do not need, is people harassing them with threats and reports. Got a complaint? Send it to [email protected] instead of moaning, or consequences can and will be in good order.

For those who are wondering, I am not addressing this message to our good and rule-abiding players, but to those moaners and bigots who think they are high enough in this community to moan on admins team and tell them what to do. Good players will have no reason to be offended by this post.

Thank you.
