The 5 car limit rule.

Hello,

There is a rule in this server : Wanted players may only use a maximum of five different vehicles.
Recently, I have seen people break this rule quite often and admins cant monitor everything. So here is a solution:

Create a script which would eject any wanted player, who has used over 5 vechiles in the spesific session, from his/her vehicle

* Create an array.
* Every time player is wanted and uses a vehicle, the car's ID will be added to array as element.
* Now If player uses another vehicle thats ID does not equal to any ID in that array : Add the current vehicles's ID to the array.
* Every time suspect enters the vehicle & the array length > 5, eject the player from his/her current vehicle.  **
* In case of player is not wanted any more (due to death or admin cmd etc.) array shall be reset.

** Aslo, "current vehicle's ID does not equal any array element ID" condition can be added...

That rule is really retarded anyway and should be only used against high-bounty suspects, lol. If a cop fails to chase a criminal, its his fail.
Anyways - right, INB4 SAL ACCUSES ME OF BREAKING THE RULES AND NOT RESPECTING ARGO VISION.

We already have admins for this, and I think it will make some server lags.

Indeed. Its up to the admins to decide whether the criminal has used enough vehicles or not. I mean, this rule can change is certain situations

Well, It may be retarded rule as you say, but it still is one. It gives a huge evading advantage to criminal who is constantly swiching vehicles.  This script would be enabled If admin is not available.
I was unaware of that this rule could change. Maybe in RP situations but In this case admin can disable it. I am just providing a way how to deal with this. For me it seems reasonable.

The only reason I see why would the 5 car limit thingy stay is cause the enter-car anim is un-synched so often you don't know if criminal enters the car or not.

However, you could always buy M4 or M60 (or Ruger) and shoot his tires :P

But here's the thing; the rule isn't that easy to enforce, and it really isn't necessary. In my opinion, the five-car limit should be removed, but maybe that's because I don't even know why it's in place. For the cops to have an advantage that doesn't exist anymore?

Could not have said it better myself. Rules can not be relative, because then whats the point of them. For example almost everytime I play on VCMP, a random criminal (who is not wanted & I have not made any signs of attacking) shoots at me with m4. The next second I see my caracter without a head and blood splattering off his neck.

Trust me as I say this has happened a lot. Then they say things like : "Muz, we are roleplaying, I defended my friend", "We are criminals, what the fuck you expect from us", "Lol I killed Muzz xDxD".


Criminals can not chase and attack the cops.
Criminals may only attack cops if they are being chased after by the police forces.

And the most important which I hope everyone will understand:

Breaking any rule in order to roleplay is strictly forbidden.
Being 'RP' is no valid reason to break the rules.


So I can not see why the rule exists If even admins do not force it. Im sorry if you dont like this but rules are rules and they are meant to
keep things organized and enjoyable to EVERYONE.

Seriously, after 5 cars im suspossed to stay on foot and I have no choice? Either fight to death or surrender? that's just lame.

Well, If you want to change this rule and so does most of the players then please do it. But the rules that are currently active should be enforced and taken seriously.

Having a rule in the rulebook noone cares about refers to shitty rulebook in general.

Well, If you are as good as I've seen, and cops are as shitty as most of the criminals say then you should have no problems with that.
Evading with over five vehicles will give the criminal plenty of time to evade. Whats the point of being a criminal then if all you do
is evading? Just to remind you that cop must wait and warn before shooting criminal, a criminal is allowed to use that time to kill the cop. Now who has the advantage here? Just some toughts.. cuz all I hear everywhere is how cops are naabs, corrupt, overpowered etc.

Suit yourself  , the gameplay would be balanced and I see no harm following that rule does. I just cant understand why the hell is there a rule If even admins dont care about it. All I want is to follow the rules and to play as a cop confident that my actions are correct.
The rules must be straight and same to everyone. Im fucking tired of all those criminals crying about them being abused by the cops even if I do all by the book.
