Play station 3 or Xbox 360!

I would like to buy a machine for the current and the future video games and I found the best two machines and they are play station 3 and xbox 360, right now I am confused which one should I buy and which one is the best. So I created this topic to get answers and to know more about ps3 and xbox.

Please state everything you know about these machines and include the positive and the negative points about everything in single or multiplayer mode and I wonder If I can run the latest video games on ps3 or xbox on the highest settings someone already told me that but I am just making sure and if yes then how old is the ps3 and xbox.. It would be really weird if ps3 or the xbox is old and can still run the latest video games on the highest settings in PC's people must update their hardware to be able to run the new video game every year...

Right now I have no idea how the multiplayer mode works or how to get the video games through the internet using the machine itself (ps3 or xbox) or how to pay for the video games and If I will use credit card then how to make sure it's trust-able.

Also I heard two opinions that the xbox 360 graphics are much better than the ps3 and Vice versa. Thank you for reading..

250GB, Good graphics with HD cord, vibration on controller when shoot/fall, easier multiplayer system. Have to buy XBOX live subsciption to play online - $60/year.

PS3:

250GB, good graphics with HD cord, free online multiplayer.

Breaks down often, overheats(Depends on what version you get) I myself have had 3 RROD's + You have to pay to be able to play online and I'd say PS3 graphics are better.

PS3:
Free online playing, doesn't break down often, although I have seen that their online system has been hacked which maybe isnt that good.

I would say that you should go for the PS3 even if it is more expensive, I personally think it will last much longer :p

I had them both, preferred PS3. Because I found that more useful than 360. My 360 also overheated twice.

PS3. Free online, free Blueray player, and same graphics. PS3 Slim rarely breaks down and is a reliable console.

I use(d) Xbox 360, until I got tired of fixing it. And about the security, instead of buying games over their system you might want to buy the games in stores instead to avoid getting your credit card information stolen.  :roll:
