This server is giving more and more power to the administration. They're there to make sure everyone follows the rules. Not control every aspect of the game, that's what scripts are for. They're indifferent and can be trusted. And that's what voting is for. There are some really smart admins here, but the amount of people that play here, I guarantee that there are people who are smarter. We cannot loose faith in a democratic system.

Argonath was never governed in a democratic fashion. As somebody pointed out in another topic, the system under which Argonath is governed is a One-Party Oligarchy (not a one-party socialism, there is a big difference), with the Party Leaders being the Server Owners. The system is needed to keep order in Argonath, because of the sheer amount of people.

Every now and then we have the smart-guys who request moan for democracy in Argonath and accusing admins of abusing their power, and how some of us have become dictators... yet where did our Leaders take us? They also chose good admins, contrary to the accusations of some smart asses who keep saying "some of the admins here just do not deserve the position...", as Tanner pointed out in his recent unban request.

Argonath would not have become a successful community if it were under a Democratic system. If you look at the chaos that happened in the last Oscar Awards, the community will fuck itself over if the power was given to the People, starting with SA:MP.

Moan on me as totalitarian or dictator or "evil admin" if you want, but the above is what I honestly see.
