Admins under 18 a good idea?

What is your guys opionen about kids from 13-16 being admins, not just here also on other sites and other games.

Well, Im 16 and Im arguably one of the biggest businessmen in Argonath, I am moderator on server and Groups and Clans board moderator. I think age doesnt matter so much as the players' qualities should determine if they are admin material.

Only problem about the "as long as they are mature" thing is that most of them can be really "mature" when applying for the rule, but after they got the powers and had it for some time, they can be mean pricks.

Should have asked moderators around that age not to vote, wount get a real result then, you guys would never vote against your self

In this forum i saw more Over 18 Flamers, Hackers, Liars and unpolite persons then under 18, so the age doesen't really matter.

No offence but having a 11 years old admin makes no sense to me, my sister is 11 and is no were nearly mature enouch to do the job

We have had trouble with guys that were well over 20. We have got very good admins that are under 16.
In most cases age does not matter. If a guy is a prick, he will be one at 13, at 25 and at 50 years old.

In our main admins we still have a running joke. How to make a guy leave the server ? Give him admins right.  
Most people do not understand that being admin is not a status. It is a job. Once they realise that being admin brings a lot of work and responsibility, they can already be afraid to come on to the server.  That is why we always say do not be afraid to give up rights. You can be the best player without being suited for admin work. Unfortunately most people feel that if we take away rights it is because we 'hate' them.

Remember the spartans and their military life, trained since kids to fight and be perfect soldiers.  :redface: The age doesen't matter...you can be Mature at 13 years old as you can be mature at 25, it depends on how you grow and how your family gives you a proper education.

I bet that at the age of 50, I will still think it's fun to crap on a school in the middle of the night wile reading the papers and drinking.
Most people would consider it immature but that doesn't mean I can't do my job as w/e I will be working with at that age.

I think it depends on the person how fast he or she matures , although i think 11 is a little to young , for the Admins work we do here ..

at that age you just dont know everything you need to know yet -in my humble opinion-as of 13 or 14 i think that peole have learned (in school etc) what they need to be good at the job ..maybe a minimum of 14....

I agree with DeeJay quote, im 16 and i like to have fun every now and then but when it comes to admins work i am very mature and try not to lower my age by my actions. So my opinion like other is that age is not a factor of how mature u are. It is YOU that make YOU YOU. (Wow so many You's in one sentence  :wow: )

I honestly have no problem with 13year olds Admining [even though i am 13 myself]. A Brilliant Example Would Be Giac, Even though he is 13, He Is A Excellent Example of how a Administrator Should Behave [although, he does get up to no good sometimes . I myself can be immature at "times" , I mean, EVERYONE [I emphasize Everyone] Has Been immature at one stage of their life, whether they are 5 or 50.

I totally agree with that. 13 is only a number, you can be basically the same as a 15 year old [in a way]

So, I have applied for Administration, And I Do Admit To Mucking Around Many Times, But, Just Because I Muck Around "Sometimes", And Because I'm 13, Should I Be Barred From Having A Job With Great Responsibility???
