It would be good to have an /area command for IV servers, because some people (including me) are new in LC and they don't know where they are exactly.

It would help you to orientate and to find location of some person(s).

Well, the problem is that /area would show the name of the location of the player - which doesn't resolve the issue as you don't know where that area is. :D

Besides, you can easily find a person when you Esc and click on the map as you're then able to look around and by moving your mouse over a blip, you can see who it is.

Use ESC and RMB on the main menu map. You'll see the blips/colors and the belonging names of the players.
/Area will not be implemented.

This can be used for now but still with problems..even there is 20 players, now imagine 100 players and 100 blips  :conf:  it  would take ages to find person you want.

I do not like the idea of having the /area command on the SA:MP Server, but unfortunately that command wont be removed, as for IVMP, you can use the pause menu to find players.

We all know what chaos this command creates in SA:MP. We don't want that kind of role play in our server.
Use /pm [playerID] to ask him his location or use the ESC menu as proposed before.

You can discover IV's map easily, and it has a locating system as well.
I don't think it's needed.

No fun for the suspects, since they can't hide. It's annoying in SAMP and it's ruining roleplay aswell.  No thanks

It's not bad to make a mistake. It's what you do after, that's important.
What is messed up is your perception of IV:MP. Probably because they do not allow guys without balls there.
