My mouse moves faster vertically then horizontally. And I move it horizontally it goes all over the place like in zig-zag movement
I tried updating the mouse driver, tried changing the settings and none of those helped

What type of mouse are you using, is it a wireless mouse? Does it happen only in Windows, in a game or both?

It's a Trust GM-4200 USB Mouse
The different speed movements only happen in games but the zig-zag all the time

Did you try another USB port?

How old is it? If it's really old , you may need to buy a new one.

I bought it last year in September I think. But I'm sure I will get another one, it's impossible to aim like this

Hmm, the problem you have sounds quite strange. It sounds like there is something wrong with the mouse internally. Have you tried cleaning the laser thing on the bottom of your mouse? It might be that there is something stuck there which causes your mouse to freak out.

Apart from that, the different speed movements really sounds like something that is caused by software or mouse incompatibility, since you only have it with games.

EDIT: Have you also tried to use the mouse on another surface? Some mouses are unable to function correctly on one surface but work very well on another.

Assuming it happens in numerous games and only games, perhaps there is a setting within the trust software which causes this to happen?

Apart from that, try to see if you have the same problem with the mouse on another computer (Well the different speeds in games) without installing any drivers that you gain with the CD.

If none of this helps anything I will assume that the mouse you bought doesn't work well and you should perhaps return it to the shop where you got it from and tell them your problem and that you wish to have a new one.

I got a GM-4600.

Can you set different DPI settings for both axes of movement in mouse options? Oh and remember to have your mouse plugged in where you had it had it plugged in when installed the drivers, or reinstall them. I know mine don't work well if I replug my mouse into a different port.

Also make sure your optics are clean and don't have any hair or dust on it.
