I'm looking for a new mouse, because the one I have now is small.... And mostly for web browsing, not for gaming. I'm looking for a wireless gaming mouse, simply because I've been using wireless mice and keyboards for a long, long time. I've found two mice which seem interesting. It's either the Cyborg R.A.T 9 or Logitech G700. Both wireless gaming mice. I've been looking at lots of unboxings, demos and reviews, but there's a little bit of doubt between the 2.

With the R.A.T, I have a fully customizable mouse, very high quality and performance. But a little pricy -  Around 100eur.
The Logitech G700 fits great with my keyboard, a Logitech Wireless K350, which is also ergonomic. And the price is around 85-90eur.

R.A.T 9 - Comes with two rechargeable batteries, a wireless receiver/battery charger, 3 palm-rest covers, 3 pinky-rest covers, 2 thumb-rest cover (All adjustable with a special screwdriver), 7 separate weights, and 7 programmable buttons.

MadCatz CYBORG R.A.T. 9 Wireless Gaming Mouse Unboxing & Review! Demo!

Logitech G700 - Comes with 1 rechargeable AA battery, a cable which recharges the battery while you can use the mouse and 7 programmable buttons.

Logitech Wireless Gaming Mouse G700 Review

tl;dl - Cyborg R.A.T 9 or Logitech G700?

I heard the rat, although customizable in size, is a bit too flat, so might be a bit uncomfortable to hold. But consider this as "[citaton needed]". Also heard it feels a bit like cheap plastic.

Looks damn awesome though, so you can show off with it.

Indeed. It's still around 15eur more than the G700 though.
At this moment, I'm thinking about the G700, simply because I don't need a super-duper-gaming mouse. I just need something better than a mouse made for a 2year old's hand.

This is the one I currently use, not made for gaming at all.

R.A.T 5 felt good for me. I'd definately choose the R.A.T instead of that logitech thing. If anything looks ''cheap'' and would feel ''plasticy'' it would be that Logitech mouse. Never liked Logitech anyways.

Saitek is known for its quality in keyboards, mouses andJoysticks. I have a lot of equipment made by them

I don't really mind a plasticy feeling, as I've used a hard-plastic Microsoft Wireless standard mouse for over a year. It was a bit heavy and didn't have any grip, so I wanted an other one. Now it's too small :( The R.A.T will definitely have a good grip, but I don't really need that much grip, as I'm not a hardcore gamer. I guess I'll save for it, and when I have enough for at least the G700, I'll think about it again. If anyone has any more tips, feel free to post. ;)

Ive got a rat 7, (the wired version of the Rat 9) best mouse ive ever had, i bought it cause a friend recommended it, and have not regretted it since(although my friend managed to break his), i havent had any problems, and the completely adjustable setup means you can make it fit to your hand and style of holding the mouse, its honestly the most comfortable mouse ever.

also some people have asked me if i broke my mouse and thats why it looks like it does, i just laugh and say " Thats not a mouse, Its a Rat".

I got the F.L.Y.5 and it indeed does feel cheap at places when taking a closer look, especially when twisting the handle it feels like holding an empty tic tac box in your hand. But still looks cool on the desk.

On the other hand (no pun intended) I did have one chance to hold a mouse shaped like that Logitech one and though it doesn't look that comfortable, it surprisingly fits the hand very well.

Well, I'm using a bog standard wireless set.

Logitech MK250.

Works like a dream, cannot see any need for an expensive set.

I've had a Logitech G5 before my R.A.T. V9 and I must say that even though the Logitech felt nice, it felt a little less smooth than my new R.A.T. V9

With that said, I think if you buy the R.A.T. V9 you will not be disappointed! The only thing that might bother you is that you have to switch the battery 2-3 times a day if you sit behind your computer all day. Else it's like 1 time per 1-2 days. Takes less than 15 seconds though.

However it takes some  days to get used to it and all the components are a bit "Stuck" at first. You have to use the batteries and such first a bit before they slide in easier etc. Or and the sensor seems to be quite sensitive... 1 little crumble can make it upset. So make sure you don't crumble all over the place ;)

So yes, buy it!

However Logitech is fine too but so far I find the R.A.T. better than my previous mouses.

I myself had a Razer Diamondback and it was the most epic mouse I've ever had..

I have been using Logitech mouses for over seven years and for me they are very comfortable. I would love to try out a RAT though.

I would be happy with the G700, but the R.A.T is just something that's so strange, you just must try it out
