You have to change the battery every couple of days?!

Jesus... I change mine like once every couple of weeks, maybe even less.

Yea, but you get 2 batteries with it, so you can play with one, while the other is charging.

I prefer cabled mice over wireless, as long as i dont need any extra distance, cable is fine, which is why i chose Rat7 over Rat9

they are both identicle except rat9 is wireless

Duude, wireless mouses are a fail..

If you're going to get a nice mouse with a cable.I suggest SteelSeries mouses.I am getting a SteelSeries Xai or a Kinzu.Xai has buttons on both of the sides of the mouse. It is comfortable for both right handed and left handed people. And has a lot of refresh rates, some awesome light 'steelseries' profile on the back that you can change that glows in the dark.

Never had any logitech mouse or RAT.I use a A4TECH x7 Gaming mouse, and I am really satisfied with the result and the material that is made with.

ha, if your going to get a good mouse that costs a bit, its probably best its not a direct competitor with the Microsoft mouse(like the ones webster recommended), honestly if you want a good gaming mouse, get a good gaming mouse.

Basically the reason wired mice are better than wireless mice isnt because of the wireless signal, that is fine and can be quite fast, the area that slows it down is the transmitter and receiver on both ends, getting the message from the mouse to the transmitter and then sending it, takes ALOT longer than the signal itself going to the other transmitter, which then has to receive, and send the signal to the computer and back, whereas with a cable the signals transfer both ways alot faster and do not need to interact with any unnecessary hardware in between

I personally have found NO, I mean absolutely no one fucking bit of difference between a wired gaming mouse and my wireless 20 quid Logitech mouse I have now.

If you really want to pay an extra 50 quid just so you can spout values at people than go ahead, but gaming mice are not worth it.

Plus wired mice really piss me off as I store my mouse and keyboard on a lower layer in my desk, but move them to the top to use them, I hate pissing around with the wires.

we arent compairing crappy mice with good mice, we are comparing wired good mice to the equivalent wireless version (RAT7 to RAT9)

And what I'm saying is that you won't notice the difference in response time unless you hook it up to sensors and physically measure the signal times.

I notice nothing of that, using a wireless mouse. And the one I have was around 15eur.

basically if your heavily into gaming and play alot of cod, to be able to kill somone quikly like i do, the response time of the mouse is crucial, even that 100-500 milliseconds can throw off your game

That's half a second. That's SLOW. In actually FAST-paced games, you would die 2 times in 500 milliseconds - and this is not an exaggeration.

A human on Average has a 120ms response time.

the Rat 9 has a brilliant 1ms response time, impossible to see the difference between wired and wireless.

Some wired mice have 8ms response time such as the Logitech MX518

An LCD Monitor on Average has a response time of 50ms

Depending on what else is using the USB too, all mive's response will speed up and down, and those of you still using PS/2 mive have an even slower response time than Wireless Mice.

Want to be a brilliant gamer? Then don't focus on wired or wireless mice, change your monitor...

A faster-reacting monitor won't make you aim better or your actual reflex better
