Cops on duty shouldn't be allowed to drive anything else than a police car, at least if they are not high rank cops. If they are driving a civilian car, they shouldn't be allowed to pull over anyone.

There is a rule that says that players that are on police duty, must drive police vehicles.

What is messed up is your perception of IV:MP. Probably because they do not allow guys without balls there.

Adding further to the topic, if people are going to be doing personal things, there's no reason to even have the "no personal use of LCPD vehicles" rule because they shouldn't be on duty doing personal stuff in the first place.

Hmmm ok then... the rule already exists... sort of...
It's not rare to see cops on duty driving state cars and rushing suspect cars without any valid reason. Then the question is: do we have to report on these particular cases ?

I agree with you, it shouldn't be happening in the first place.

My fault. Haven't conformed it.

On the other question.
Cops must use Police Cruisers in specific cases and in others in which they can use them. We support using them but as you know there are situations in which they are not appropriate, cannot be found (frequent problem), empty fuel or damaged (excluding it for now).

Well it's actually a server rule that they must use them unless none are available, so technically speaking there's no reason not to unless they fall under those exceptions. The only other reason would be specialized vehicles or UC work.

It might not be published here on the forums...(yet another unfortunate scenario where someone forgets to)...but it has been a rule since before I became an Admin way back when.

Actually I remember that when CBFasi was on command he said that LCPD suggests the cops to drive police cars but it is not obligating them.

That's not what I was told as an Admin. I was even forced to enforce it at the time.
