GTA:IV Loading Screen Crash

As the title says, when I go to IV:MP and GTA:IV singleplayer itself, it brings the loading screen, then gives me an error saying it has stopped responding, yet it was trying to load.

Hope someone knows how to fix this.

Download xlive.dll and put it in your main directory.

Reinstalled and it works in single player, have not tested IV:MP yet.

Try setting the compatibility to Windows XP Service Pack 2.

IV:MP or just the LaunchGTAIV.exe?
IV:MP: Nothing
LaunchGTAIV.exe: Fatal error: You cannot run if you don't have Windows XP Service Pack 3 or some thing

Yea, I needed SP3 on XP to run it, can you run Windows 7 or XP or w/e it is in Compatibility mode for XP Service Pack 3?

If you have Windows 7/Vista, you can run compatibility as Windows XP Service Pack 2. Service pack 3 does not work correctly as a setting for some reason.

I did a typo, I said XP when I meant to say Vista, but, what OS HAVE you got just so we can help you out a bit more?
