I have plans for v2.0
But they are kinda drastic changes from what players have been playing till now.

So, I thought maybe players wont like these changes. Hence, Im posting the plans here to get a general view if players like it.

Losing everything on Death:
Not everything actually.
If you die, you should lose the things you are carrying.
That is, Cash and Drugs.

You can avoid losing stuff by keeping it stored at bank/house. And, more importantly NOT DYING.

Other players can pickup the things you dropped on death.
Then its up to them, they can reach you and give them back to you.
Or they can pocket it.

Pros:
  • Storing things would actually make sense then.
  • People would use bank more frequently, so robbers can find some hostages :)
  • People will RP better in life-threatening situations (almost all situations :D )
  • Robbing people will be easier, so criminals can make money out of this.
  • Kids will be more responsible about there possessions, will help them IRL  :D

Cons
  • Another excuse to DM ("admiiiin i needed monies so i kill ppl no ban plsss admiin")
  • Millionaires raging coz they drowned on their way to bank....FAIL

This is the only reason why I would like those scripts   :D :devroll:
Oh and btw, Is it possible to make more houses enterable, you know, like the SA concept. Every house looks the same on the inside but different on the outside. There should really be more use for houses. Like for example, it would be cool if you could buy some frozen chicken at 24/7 mart, and fry it in your house. Or maybe a sleep recovery system.[/list]

I like the idea, when i posted it before you started 1.9 development.
I was asking about this: If that person dies, where his cash and drugs go? vanish in air, or to the killer.

If that cash goes to killer, it may result in Heavy DM. But if it vanishes in air, it may prevent shooting. Either case, stopping DM is admin's job, not script's.

I still like it. From what I have seen, fights between men  are caused because of one of the three reasons (there ain't 4rth reason): Girls, money, power :D

Imo not lose ALL of the money... Think about Denlow picking up almost a mil on the way from Phil's Place some random comes and M4's his head off and walks away with trollface on... :D

Maybe part of the money, but definiatly not all.. About others, I'm fine with losing drugs 'n such on death. (I don't have them anyways :D)

    That would be very rare.
When someone knows about the risks, he would definitely take measures to avoid losses.
Millionaires like Denlow would be smart enough to avoid such a thing.

A more prominent problem could be new players who dont know about such a thing.
We will add a message if a guy dies and loses stuff like.
"You lost w/e.xxxxxx.w/e. Deposit your cash at bank to avoid losing it".
So that the player is more careful in future.

    Also,
VCMP is considred to have a chillaxed gameplay. People kinda love it...
People just keep loling around, sometimes shooting a face coz they dont like it.
That would suffer a lot if this is added...
But Im personally willing to sacrifice that :)

I'd personally support if you lose 50% of you cash on-death. Then you don't lose EVERYTHING, but it's a considerable amount when a millionaire like Denlow goes with a stubby/m60 walking to bank securing everything he's got when am on top of bank with trollface shooting his head off with sniper

    Nah jokes.

It's a great addition no matter how much money you lose, but imo even for new players and the millionaires, it's better to lose only 50% :)

Great ideas. It matches singleplayer then, and to be honest if people are stupid enough to keep all their cash on them, they should know better. With everything being reset in RS2 anyway, there's no real issue with the money in the beginning, so they'll have time to figure it out. Besides, this community is based on RP, not money, so I think this is a great way to prevent that greedy attitude people have had in the entire community lately. It would also encourage bank usage more.

As for your argument about losing money on the way to a car purchase ZeR0X2, players could just have the money deducted from their bank accounts, sort of like writing a check or using a debit card. Some purchases in SA:MP that are large do this already to prevent giant losses of money, so I don't see why VC:MP can't too.

People just keep loling around, sometimes shooting a face coz they dont like it.
That would suffer a lot if this is added...

It should be sacrificed because the attitude should be shifted more towards roleplay than deathmatch for RS2, even if relaxed. I think your ideas are amazing and should absolutely be implemented. People can cry about money and the loss of killing people as often as much as they want, because it's not what this great community is about. :)

Actually, even though you don't want to support killing, this does add that unique concept for criminals in order to make money, which would be a challenge because if someone kills a cop, they are going to have the entire Department on their butt, so it's a huge risk for a good payout, which will prevent people from doing it often. That's a good point you came up with Klaus. On the flip side of things, suspected criminals also run the risk of losing any money they gain from the attacks on the officer, because other officers will go after them, meaning they are given a challenge to store the money somewhere and run, just as they could do with drugs. Ironically, the killing provides a very unique roleplay, which could be useful here. :)

So true, so true... Tho' if the criminal wants to go to deposit the money to bank... I only wonder if it turns to BANK ROBBERY  :devroll:

Nah jokes, it indeed brings some roleplay to server, I never thought this at this way..

I'm supporting the idea 100% and would love to see it implemented heheh :D
