Happy Birthday Argo!!! As I said before, I feel unbelievably honored to celebrate it with you guys. When I joined just under 5 years ago, I never thought that the day I met BiteMe, and he teaching me how to RP in MTA:VC would eventually lead to the many things I do today. I only have Argo to thank for it's great history and fun times which have completely changed my life for the better. Years ago I had a passion for Law Enforcement that began fading with frustration. Around that same time, my girlfriend that I was engaged to and with for 2-3 years left me. My life was falling apart, yet my friends here who I have never met kept me going through every day. I eventually met 2 girls who I had fallen deeply in love with, and today I can proudly say one is my best friend, and the other is my girlfriend, and I don't give two ****s about anyone saying it's not real. Just like with these relationships and how they started out, your friends in Argo may be people you never see or meet, but that does not mean they aren't being honest in their words. When you take away everything society throws at us by removing that face-to-face contact, you are seeing the true side of a person, should they choose to be true in their words, and it will make you better friends than some people you may ever meet in your life. That is not just an opinion, it is a time-tested fact, and just as Gandalf/Ronnel said himself, we are not being fake in our personalities like others may be in real life.
Touching on what I said before about my passion for Law Enforcement, again, I have Argo to thank for bringing that back to me. Roleplaying a cop for 3-4 years straight (before ARFD was founded) has made me pursue my dream career again, and today I can happily say that I've been through an Academy, and although I won't be explaining anything beyond that, I want to thank Gandalf/Ronnel and Aragorn/RON personally for giving me the opportunity to be in such a great community where things like this are possible, because without them, I would not be here today. My life would otherwise be in a horrible place. You may say that allowing a game to influence your life is a bad thing, but this is not necessarily true. It's not just a game. It's real people interacting and communicating with one another, expressing real feelings and personal thoughts. This world of it's own is more real in some ways than the one we live in today because at some points, people are more honest with each other and themselves than they are in real life. To have such a great community capable of bringing that out in people is absolutely amazing. It's not just about the fun here...it's about the friends you meet, and the good times you have with them. Argo is not just another community that outlasted the others. It's a home to all who love it and want to be a part of it...and anyone is welcome to that. Just as Aragorn/RON says all the time, even our enemies cannot get enough of us.
