From what I saw already, the server actually is quite hard to play with new scripts since the chat is almost spammed with shizzlenuts instead of testing the scripts.

But yeah, it's still playable, even when the scripts lag and some scripts crash and whatever happens

Well, all that will be fixed in due time. We just have to suffer until then hahaha...

Maybe you can't read the title "Beta". The reason why it was made available to everyone was so people could report all of the bugs instead of having a small team do it and only find some of them. Don't flame the Developers' work. They've been working hard on this for quite some time. If you don't like it, you don't have to play here. Simple as that.

You clearly said the Developers did a "bad job" in multiple ways by your comment. I'll give you an example:

"Make a beta testing team ffs"

You implied they did a crappy job with making it, meaning they should have tested it before releasing it to the public. What you clearly didn't see was in the title:

Next time please be more respectful. They worked hard, and they knew there would be bugs. That's why the asked the public to help them find them.

Ohmygod, he clearly meant that the BETA testing is not good for public just for the reasons he said, some people try to find bugs and all and people SHOOT them with miniguns.

He didn't "flame" developers work, unlike you kind of provoked him by telling he can't read when infact the guy is working his ass off for the scripts to be finished in time.

I don't think the beta was ever to appear as an almost exact version of the final product. aXXo and Storm have been doing a great job, but one thing Argonath lacks unlike other professional games developers out there (obviously, Argonath's a player run community for the most part in these things), they have various teams working on testing, Q&A, bug detecting... and their public betas would be adjusted to in turn.

While we don't have that, hopefully the regular players can come up with constructive comments and figure out things in the server that shouldn't be. While others may just use this time to get a taster of some of the new features. After all, everything's going to be refreshed again for the final 2.0. Better to find any problems now, than once it is officially released. Let's wait and see.

Well all of that is because this isn't a product being sold to the public, and it's not something that can't be changed at will, so public beta testing is actually the greatest option here because players doing things normally will lead to them finding more bugs than beta testers trying to purposely abuse a specific piece of coding would, and because it's done in a player-to-real-world fashion, the bugs they find would likely otherwise be present and abused in the release if an open beta test hadn't happened.

Well admins should be watching things then...but there are no beta testers for the most part. That's why it was opened up to everyone to check out.

Nice of admins to be tempbanning people from the server when it should be beta tested.. It's exactly what Spiral is meaning, almost every reqular would be banned in 2.0 already if they went harsh on them for using minigun quite the wrong way

If they are punished on the beta server, it should carry over to the main server then too. That way people will know better

I agree if players get the chance to get into beta team, I doubt Storm and Axxo will have the time to test all scripts themself

There would be applications obviously.
And everyone who reads the forum and has IQ > 30 will be accepted and given the password
