The summer has ended with a literal bang. We had the 6.0 East Coast Quake this Monday, but the S&P 500 downgraded it along with it's 4.5M+ aftershocks down to a 2.0. Now we have Hurricane Irene, where right now, it's pounding my hometown of Virginia Beach, VA. My not seem like anything to y'all, but VA Beach shares with Norfolk, VA the largest Naval Base in the world.
Finally, college starts back up for me next week. For Monday to Wednesday, I have college classes in my town of Jacksboro, TN. As well as class in "The Secret City of Tennessee", Oak Ridge, TN. What's so funny is that the Oak Ridge campus is right next door to ORNL (Oak Ridge Natl. Labs) Where there's a nuclear waste incinerator.
Even more shocking is that most of Germany's nuclear waste goes to ORNL to be incinerated, about 5k - 10k tons of glowing green goo. That's one of the reasons why the city glows at night.
Nothing like smelling and asorbing nuclear radiation in the morning...
