The first thing I remember is that it was cold.. very cold..
I was in Russia with my friend and businesspartner Jerry.
Good guy, mature, always acts proffesional and very calm.
We went to a local casino in St. Petersburg were we met this guy called Zakhevic.
Strange dude, always in suit, never smiles. Like he has no emotions. f**k, at this time I knew he wasn't a good guy.
He offered us to play a game of Texas Hold 'Em. Ofcourse, we accepted the offer. You're only one time in Russia. We played for the whole evening, lost and won money, but it was fun. Apparently, he was the owner of the casino, something we didn't know. He asked us to follow him, I was not convinced it had a good ending, but Jerry wanted me to go. So I did, me and Jerry followed him. We came into this strange room, filled with people who were all dressed in black. Strange enough, everything was planned. He knew we would come to the casino that day, he knew which time.. Damn.. I was mind-f**ked. How did this guy know everything about us? A government agent? Everything except that. He humiliated us infront of those people with things that happened through our career. In the end, he forced us to work for his so called ''family''. We had to, otherwise our last stop was the sea. So, we took the job, handled some loan sharking  business and did things for his protection racket. After all our work, he wasn't happy. All I remember is that I got hit with something, and the next day I was laying in my hometown Los Santos with a concussion. When I looked around me, I saw a letter next to me. I opened it, and readed it. Someone wanted to see me in Bayside. So, the next day I took a cab to Bayside. The guy wanted to see me at the boatyard. When I arrived there, I got called on my cellphone. A strange guy whispered throught the phone and told me to come inside a building right across the boatyard. When I came inside the building, a strange atmosphere crueled over me. It was a guy, dressed in a grey suit. He told me he was too old for the ''business''. I asked which business, as he answered: ''The underworld, I am hunted everyday, by some punk-ass hitmans hired by rival family's''. The guy wanted me to take over his role. I was not convinced, but then he offered me a huge ammount of money and a mansion. I was convinced, so I accepted the offer. I started the group as the Maranzano Empire. The first day, we got whiped out of Bayside already. Marlens took over. Then, my old friend Jerry called, and said he would help me building the empire. I accepted it, Jerry became the new underboss. I bought a new place in Rodeo, Los Santos. It's now known as the Empire's headquarters: The Maranzano Empire Hotel.
