Thanks for proving your stupidity and posting something useless in a topic which is meant to give respect. Go put your complots somewhere in one of the other topics on the forums.

/overandout

The dude has a point. I won't go into further detail on my opinion about the matter as it will more than likely infuriate certain people.

Fucking shit man, can we all just let it go? Yes, I understand it was almost 4,000 people, but when I think of 9/11... I think of the wars started afterwards where we lose 4,000+ more of our own kids (not even including injured) in Afghanistan and Iraq, not even to mention all the civilian casualties. I think this shit should be put to rest and not used to push a political campaign anymore.

Too true. It's terrible, as all the suffering and warfare that started as a result of the incident can be traced back to the motives of
corrupt, evil men. Such a shame.

Rectracted the comment, Got no time to argue with Americans who think they own the world... R.I.P those who died and on so.

Life has been a fucking hell recently, including accepting what has happened to me in the past. Dunno if life will ever get better but at the least I'm still hanging on. Lol.

It will likely go heavily forgotten after this anniversary is over. At this point, it will be the last major anniversary of the events that people will be able to clearly remember.

Ten years ago when you took a flight inside the US it was like stepping on to a bus. No security gates, no taking shoes off or walking through scanners.
International flights were secured, but it was possible to carry a pocket knife in your hand luggage without being seen as potential terrorist. It was possible to make a joke with people on the ground or dress non-Western clothing without getting a crowd of security workers on your back.
The attacks have cost us a lot in personal freedom as in the  'war against terrorism' many laws were passed that allow the governments to invade our privacy, or that restrict us from formerly normal things while traveling.

The attack has not just cost the 3.000 victims on Ground Zero and connected sites, but it has cost a lot more from all of us, and we are still paying the consequences on a daily basis.
The attack succeeded in many more ways as those who planned it could imagine.

I couldn't agree more with every statement you made there. This may have happened in the United States, but we are all human, and these events rocked the world to it's core, and brought a country to it's knees for a day, watching as innocent lives were taken from us, only for us to stupidly lash out at other innocent countries because of our government taking advantage of our want for revenge.

Humanity is a very strange and cruel race. I will never understand why we do the things we do, and I hope I never do. It's truly sickening sometimes...

Most things we do are based on our primal instinct which is survival of ourselves and our relatives.
As we are capable of intelligent and fast calculations, in a situation we take decisions to minimize the damage (at least those with the capability to make decisions do) to others, while accepting damage as inevitable.
When you play chess, there are several ways to play. Some will attempt to defeat the opponenet as fast as possible, others take joy in a methodical destruction. But when starting the game, both players are ready and willing to lose a majority of the pieces on the board, if victory can be claimed as a result.

Similarly people are prepared to let others die to reach their goals and claim victory, as we have seen many examples this year.

That does make sense, but I still find it to be a ridiculous trait of our race. Other animals fight for survival, but they do not kill each other purely just to win an argument or prove a point. I mean I'm not going to defend my country here, because I will agree that the United States is beyond effed up in many ways, but killing innocent civilians is not the way to get a point across, as an act of war or otherwise. Hopefully one day our race will grow up and stop acting immature so it realizes it's mistakes before we bring an end to ourselves. At the rate every side of this incident is going, we're just going to end up killing all life on this planet before we know it's too late to save it. I just hope my generation and after don't follow down the same path of hatred and destruction...

If you will study behavioral patterns in the animal world, you will see that there are several reasons for warfare, and group warfare is not somthing limited to us.
The most common reason for warfare is territory and overpopulation. If you link territory to natural riches then you will find more than enough reasons for most of our current day conflicts.

Adding to what Gandalf said, Bin Laden just didn't know down some buildings, invade some personal freedom, he was smarter than that. He knew exactly what this would do. He knew we'd waste billions if not trillions on their country throwing the US into debt. He knew the US would go bankrupt. Sadly enough, it became a reality.

However, it's fun to say I have more money than the US government :P

(obvious joke, don't get offended or whatever)

Such a shame. RIP.

I flew from Boston Logan Int. the other week after visiting family, so much has changed, security wise, the things they now need to do because of some peoples actions.

I know the feeling. I'm American and I'm disgusted with my own country. My personal views on the whole incident would likely start World War III here on the forums lol

Let's just not praise all the 9/11 victims here, but I propose we praise all the victims of such manipulation wars all our generations are st-...

Perhaps not, it won't motivate millions of people into automatically judging hundreds of thousands of innocent guys as ''terrorists that should die''.
