Well, after installing fraps I found for some reason it doesnt record properly. The image is distorted, the colours confused and the sound is just about gone, any sound is just a bit of static.

Quality: http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s256/jcstodds/frapsbollocks.jpg

Tried re-installing San Andreas, changed settings of fraps, folder destinaton...

It is the same Fraps  i have used before, hasnt worked since I reformatted PC.

Ok, I found the following whilst testing fraps:

It is not Fraps itself, I can record other games in good quality.

So it is something to do with San Andreas. The quality of picture I get on http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s256/jcstodds/frapsbollocks.jpg  momentarily flicks up when i minimise game.

It is not the framelimiter option on SA causing the problem.
Re-installing SA does not help, or Re-installing fraps.

I will have another play with settings.... but so far... no solution.

I found a solution but i forgot the link  :D
It is a problem with Fraps.
If you install the "demo" of Fraps you can run it normal and good.
But if you change to the full version of Fraps, you get a shit quality and bad videos.
There is a way to stop it.
You have to download some programs and delte some files in the registry.
I will look again after the link Jcstodds  ;)
