Hello there,

The honor to Tupac inspired me to create this topic.

I'd like to know what you're all listening to, which artists.

As for myself, I listen a lot of Tupac.

When I was a little boy, my best friend got me an Eminem CD who I kept listening to, until my parents heard all the cursing in his lyrics and they assumed it wasn't the right thing for a 6 year old kid. Then I always sneaked to a 12 year old guy further on in the street where I could listen Eminem.

When I got older and I went to Secondary School, my friend introduced me to Tupac, he's a real addict. He has 4 brothers and they even got Tupac on those cassettes. That's when I got into Tupac as well, I dug deeper and deeper into Hip-Hop and now I'm listening to it all the time.

I also listen quite a lot of dutch rap, but I won't get any further naming all the artists as you won't like it if you can understand the lyrics.

For English rap, I listen; Tupac, Curren$y, AZ, Wiz, The Outlawz, nas and many more!

I've always been a huge fan of hiphop and it's relative genres. I can unquestionable tell you that I am extremely meticulous when choosing my favorite artists. I do hate Lil' Wayne and all that utter bullshit when all they do is rap about cars, fame and freakin' hoes. To me it feels like these morons are devastating the whole hiphop society, same with Snoop Dogg who made this disparaging track together with David Guetta. Let me tell you who and why I listen to them:

Swedish rappers:
Allyawan
This f**king dude is the most prominent rapper we got in Sweden. Without giving him too much flatter; he does write exceptional lyrics with sensational beats. It's always a pleasure once you listen to his tracks, no matter if you're Swedish or not. He handles the songs on English like he was the creator of the language himself. That's how good he is.
Two tracks for you to listen to on English.
Allyawan - Off The Sky
Allyawan - Project Steps (feat. Dj Devastate)

Timbuktu
Too bad this rapper mostly raps on Swedish. Also one of those peerless rappers who is so much better than who it concludes.

Looptroop Rockers
Three guys (Promoe and two others) made the group Looptroop back in the 90's, and they're still kicking it like ol' times. They simply produce underground rap/graffiti music. They're extremely underrated. Take a look at them; they're also rapping on English.

American rappers:
Tupac, Ice Cube, Chiddy Bang, Wiz Khalifa, Big Punisher, Gangstarr Mr. Criminal
I know, Wiz does only rap about weed and girls and money, but he does it with his unique flavor in the tracks. Also the beats are pretty fucking dope.

Oh and yeah, you gotta see this Swedish 15 years old dude. He lives close to me and he's a f**king talent.

Gonna check them all out Que, thanks for such a detailed comment :)

I personally don't like Lil wayne, same as Que. All he raps about is how many bitches he has and how cool he is, how much stacks he has. He's a shame to gangsterrap in general, my friend even refuses to listen to him. The only track from lil wayne I like is "a mille".

I prefer tracks brought from the artists' hearts. One dutch rapper recently made a track in a day, that he didn't get what he should get. At the end he talked, only realtalk. "Don't get me wrong, this is not a downass track or whatever." He's one of the most famous rappers of Holland, and in my opinion one of the best. He also recorded a track with The Outlawz.

When I get home I'll post some youtube links.
