So yeah I've been working out a lot recently and wondered if protein powders are safe? I'm trying to get my strength and muscle mass up and a friend recommended this. I've heard a lot of bad things about it yet some good. So what do you guys think, is it good and should I take it? Is it effective?

Hard to say as there are lots of different products and some are good while others are total rubbish.

In general, if you think that by pulling some weights and drinking a shake you will impress girls, better stay away from them.

If you are going to drink protein shakes, it should be part of a balanced diet and workout schedule, with a clear aim at what muscle groups you are working on and what the goal of the work is. If you are bodybuilding for a sport, they can be part of the plan.
If you just like to have some extra muscle without looking like you gut stung by a horde of bees, stay away from them.


Do not roleplay a veteran on discord, be a veteran in game.

It's not really bad, but only protein doesn't really work, you've to use more for best effect.

Nah I'm not talking about steroids, it's some kind of protein powder, but it's a unique and heavy one.

Learn to diet.

Protein powder is not steroids. It is completely safe.

Research into a proper diet for training and building muscles. Don't think you will grow big while drinking a shake and eating otherwise eating shit food all day.

The only good and healthy way to train muscles is by doing it naturally. Proteineshakes may increase your muscle mass but your health condition will decrease as you'll get out of balance. What are you with extra muscle if your body does not allow you to use them anyway?

Haha. No. Protein in any way, shape or form does not increase muscle mass if it was then you'd see people eating kilos of meat daily. It's main use in the body is recovery however at a young age and good sleep, past a level protein is more or less a waste of money and effort.

Also go easy on working out. Make limits.
