Biggo, rambo,Miker believe me if you are really 14, as someone already said then you shouldn't even think about going to the gym because youre organism is still developing and if you mess it up One time thats it.Also protein's/additives/steroids are somthing that you dont need in those years.Anyone who say's otherwise is a god damn idiot or he doesn't know whats he talking about.
Take i from him
Efeito de anabolizantes - Effect of Steroids

Im telling you all this from personal experience.
There are some kind of proteins that dont got side effects but if you are training rugby already then I dont see the point of getting instantly bigger because if you continue with that work you will be like a rock, keep it natural since you got good support.
My advice to you is kick-boxing and gym when you turn 16.
About the meal-bananas,milk and integral biscuits  :D

No, your growth won't stop when starting to lift. It's proven with many celebrities and athletes.

Proteins linking together are what create muscles, but not on their own. Protein shakes are useless without working out in a scheduled plan, as Gandalf said. They are only useful to people who have protein deficiencies in reality.

How many celebrities and athletes of 14 you know ?
As for those in movies, check on their height before giving an opinion.
For instance Arnold Schwarzenegger who was portrayed like a 'giant' is just 183cm tall, and with that seems to tower over many others.
Your body has a natural balance and proportion. With training you can improve the looks, but what you need for sports is the more natural strength to build, which sometimes clashes with looks.
From Russian examples I am well aware that the body type with the most natural strength is not always the one that is shown in ads, just look at ' strong man'  competitions and see that the competitors seldom have the perfect looks.

So yeah I've been working out a lot recently and wondered if protein powders are safe? I'm trying to get my strength and muscle mass up and a friend recommended this. I've heard a lot of bad things about it yet some good. So what do you guys think, is it good and should I take it? Is it effective?

It depens on how much you work out. If you work for something like 4 hours a day 3 times a week or so, you should use it. if less, I wouldn't recommend it, The protein powder is needed only if you train alot every week. Dont use it if it's not needed or you'll harm yourself.

Cuz when you are a balla you buy bic mac's at pizza stack

Except for the part that you will harm yourself, he is right.
If you use this and don't work out enough, it will not have any effect and will even get you fat.

A lot of you are taking information from thin air.

Protein powder is the exact same as if you'd eat more that day. Your body can only take one limit amount of protein, so if you believe that you will grow big on protein, it's basically the same if you'd eat one meal more. Some powder-companies are surprisingly dumb by putting these moronic lines of text on the jar with like "Double doze of protein!" etcetera, which is simply just pure bullshit. Once you've reached the limit of the protein intake, the rest will basically be pissed out. Use it if you like, I use it regularly when training as one extra meal.

The only matter with age is that as older you get, the less bodily functions will remain as they were.
If you're only 14, eat good, drink a lot of milk, water and juice, and you will see results by that.

Bro, learn the difference. Steroids has nothing to do with protein shakes.

I dont know why I'm I replying to this but anyway..
I know the difference very well, and dont you wory about me..
I was giving him a example of what there kind of additives are.
He wont have any problem if he goes with regular proteins that are basically replacement for meal's that dont contain carbohydrates.
But you start with those  then you whana play maybe with some amino acids to be thin, creatine maybe afther, fuck it if you are lazy and you want to make it over the night just take epinephrine. After that you can go to solarium and be a real O.G
There is shit load of people that go down this road.

Just go and ask any doctor and he will tell you that chemicals of any kind are something you don't need.
You got a million and one Real food product that are also good for you,go to youre nutritionist and he will prescribe you a good  diet.

Offcorse people who use this crap will defend there statements, but what can you do  you cant defeat the web  :D
Train hard, eat good and in a proper time, avoid food that contains carbohydrates and slow down on white bread.
Cheers

Because we should have one proper discussion.
and dont you wory about me..
I'm not worrying about you, in the matter of fact I was just pointing out that your previous post had no connection to whatsoever.
then you whana play maybe with some amino acids to be thin, creatine maybe afther, f**k it if you are lazy and you want to make it over the night just take epinephrine. After that you can go to solarium and be a real O.G
We are talking about protein shakes, if this is a general discussion about every related gym-product, then we can continue for hours, and I would also agree with you that most of the products are wordlessly bad for your training in the length.
Train hard, eat good and in a proper time, avoid food that contains carbohydrates and slow down on white bread.
That's the right way, indeed. If you're continuously following these basic things, the result will end up great no matter what kind of protein shake, creatine or nevertheless you decide to use. The whole winning concept is built on your routines.

Well we established on the beginning that he doesn't suppose to use protein's since he is young,so I wanted to let him know whats there more in the famous world of gym, related to substance that people drink this days.

And since we don't got a suitable topic to talk about this things I felt that this is the only way to share with a people a fact or two.
