Hey guys,

 my idea is: When someone calls 911, it's like
911:911, what's your emergency?
Caller help!
 And now, /911respond ID TEXT comes:
 911:911, what's your emergency?
Caller help!
911:What's your location sir, and what is happening?
*Caller answers*

 It's according with /taxirespond ID idea and Phone system idea. It can help cops get the location and some informations about situation. Also will improve RP, coz there isnt any other option than reply to call on /pm or main chat, which arent very RP.

Uhm I don't like it . . .
When police respond you probably won't get only an agent but at least a few . . . and let's suppose there's a shotout going on . . why would the caller need a reply with the responder's name?

Furthermore 911 usually doesn't say name and surname of the agent coming ^^

The calling back idea is good imo. In many cases police needs to know more specific details about the emergency so they would know how to respond. When person only screams "help" in the phone, then maybe only 1 car will be dispatched but if the 911 control center receives info that there is a shootout with possible hostages they would send all units at the crime scene rather than only one. This would dramatically increase the police responding time and should theoretically result in better success rate. Well but in Argonath we have many cops that think they and only themselves form the LCPD and have no idea about teamwork. Well anyway, i think its a good idea to coordinate police work. /supported

My idea to improve the system:
In order to prevent all the cops calling back to the caller i would suggest a command that would specify the officer who handles the emergency call. Like when the emergency call is received the officer would type /respond [ID] and then in police radio people will see a text like *Officer X [ID]  answered the emergency call*. THis would prevent multiple calling backs to the "victim" imo. The one who called 911 would see the text like "911 has received your emergency call" or something like that. This way the person in trouble knows the help is on its way.

IRL when you answer a call you usualy have less information than what we get here. Plus giving the right to anyone to respond as dispatch will of course lead to abuse or some unpleasant situation. The idea in itself isn't bad but unfortunately the field of application is narrowed so much that the only possibility would be to have people with dispatcher rights, some kind of ``official`` group like the ATC on SA:MP.

That is the only way I see this idea could likely be possible.

I think something that would be useful, if when the player calls 911 and states his emergency, the cops that are on duty should be able to "accept" the call, and dispatch to your location.
Because today I was in a role play situation where I had to call the police, and I did not know if they were coming or not. I think a small addition like that would be like in real life, when you call the police, they DO let you know that someone will be dispatched. Its quick and simple. If the police officer does accept the call, the caller will get a message "The police have received the call and are dispatched to your location." At least the caller will know if he/she should expect the cops to come...

You could try something like this..

I offten see in some movies situations where caller must press number for a specific situation, example:

Me calls 911
911: For Terorist attack press 1, For kidnap 2, For rape ( lol ) press 3... and so on

At us it would be a little bit diffrent. I was thinking something like this. When you call /911 without any other numbers.. Service operator answers, let's say: Okay Sir, we are sending one unit/patrol car to your location ( On the radio would apear, who did make the call and where's his location ). The caller would also have an option to add a number ( The part from movie.. ) and on that way add some more details about his situation, like this..

Let's say IDs for some regular crimes:
1 - Shooting
2 - Burglary
3 - Speeding vehicle
4 - Bomb
5 - Kidnap
6 - DriveBy

..and soo on

If the code would be like this, /call 911 1, the answer should be: Sir take cover or try to leave that area, Police is on the way to your location. If it's kidnap, it could be: Try to remain calm and use your phone to inform police about your location.. or whatever

"This call came from Downtown, Dukes"
No more specific I think because irl police can only track that much afaik.

Thats a good point imo and that would mean that calling back from 911 is actually not necessary.

Of course not, that's why added that I saw that in movies :] And I would deffinetly type numbers, because I always type somekind of description ( Which wouldnt be possible with that numbers code /call 911 1 ), but.. that was just a sugestion for this thing..
