I was hoping this is possible, Seeing its in SA:MP
Take the Phone/Police Radio from GTA4 And Animate it for /call [ID]
Commands could be: /call [ID]-Call Person you want to speak with, /hangup-End your Call, /Ignorecall-Ignore the Call on your Phone, /pickup-Pick up your Phone When theres a Current Call
And you get a Yellow Type Message Saying:
Recieving Call from [TCL]Dino
Vise Versa for
Caller: Call Pending For Batta_Kolta
And all you have to do, if you /pickup the phone is Type :D

If its confusing, Ask me and ill Explain XD

We should know if they're already working on the other idea in order to start another one..

Anyway I would wait more for a better and more complete system instead of a fast and simple one ^^

I gotta Say this, Dont think of yourself, Think of the Scripters how much time they would spend on ONE idea, When they could do just a Simple Thing ;)

I would say that the GUI system might take much of time, and we might also wait for the next version of IV:MP to get it done.

A temporary simple phone system as /call could be useful till we get the whole phoning system. It could be added with some commands such as: /answer, /c Text, to speak with the dialed side & /hangup or /hu, to hang up the phone.

Great Command List Now lets put them together! Also, you can add /Phone [ID] to find out someone's Number
Command list:
/phone [ID] - Figure out someone's number in Server currently
/call # - /call someone's their #
/answer - Answer a call thats In-progress
/hu /hangup- Hangup your phone after convo
/c(Or just type) to speak on your phone after /answering
