Players such as Ganso are priced at around 30 million - unless I was like 5 seasons in, I doubt I'd ever have the money to afford such players with Southend United. 

I do however have some exciting players coming through the youth squad! Robbie Wordsworth, 65-69 OVR, 85-91 potential. His starting overall is going to be at least on par with my current best defender, so as soon as he's eligible to play I'm going to get him into the first squad!

Dont know what's your budget, but here are couple of players who doesnt cost more than 1.5mil-2mil.

J.Taylor, Absoultely brilliant, bought him in almost every one of my career mode, such a fun player to play with, gets to an overall of 75, starts with 60 or so. ( Wingers, over 90 pace, over 80 stamina.. 4 star skills.. ) all of that before he starts progressing. Another winger, who can also play on the left, is odumendi , I think that's his name. You can just search odu and RM it will find him. 66 overall, gets to 80.. 91 pace or something like that, feels like lennon.. absoutely brilliant.

If you have the funds, those are absoulte bargains.. used them in team like Arsenal, sunderland.. they're incredible. also if you want a pacey striker, with amazing pace, 5 star skills , good dribbling and good shot, look for Quintero.. He's not strong, but my god what a player.. Probarly one of the best players I've played with.. Tho me might be a little expensive for you. Anyways, try those out! it also depens on what season you're in.

I found Ganso, Hazard in '11 when they werent made so big stars by media yet. They seemed young and cheap with good skills. Tho' I had lots of work to do to get cash, I still got 'em and I didnt have to dissapoint as they are still in the squad now.
 Now Its time to get new young talents, I actually like van Wolfswinkel (or w/e his name was). He's a great striker in Sporting, doing a great job. Of course, some Arsenal talents like Afobe and Sanchez Watt who's maybe not so good.
