Looking at the replay again, it's damn obvious Nani was aware of Arbeloa rushing though he did not expect him so fast, thus why he tried to control the ball at the first place and not let it hit the ground and control it afterwards which would be sensible if he was alone. Anyway that's just my theory.

I do believe it's a red card since it's foul play. Arbeloa could've been injured badly. Nani also knew it when he stopped faking an injury on his chest that occurred magically. Yes perhaps an over reaction by the referee but we've seen worse red cards like this where Dani fakes an injury, gets stretched out and comes back in less than 2 minutes.

I'm playing football and I have to say that intention counts. But you never give a red card just for intention, a yellow card would do. I think the turkish referee was too strict on that one.

Ofcourse not, but that's not how Mourinho acts after a win, especially against Man Utd, where he totally beat Fergie with 1 change in 3 mins.. Ferguson has also stated that he would like Murinho as his successor. Anyway I hope he'll stay in Madrid for more years.
