Ferguson either when he joined. It's United's style to pick long-standing and potentially quality coaches. And Sir Alex recommends him himself. How can you possibly know who would suit the most? We'll see how he'll do.
At least Sir Alex was an uprising coach at his time, he also had a name before joining Man Utd. I mean.. Moyes? Please.. He has a club full of potentional and expensive players and still can't manage to make an appearance in one of the UEFAs tournaments.  I would also pick Newcastle Utd's coach, I can't remember his name.

Agreed, but what makes you think Moyes isn't?

he also had a name before joining Man Utd.
No.

He has a club full of potentional and expensive players
No.

still can't manage to make an appearance in one of the UEFAs tournaments.
Competing with Europe's finest such as United/City/Arsenal/Tottenham/Chelsea isn't really evident with a team such as Everton now is it?

Sucks. They should've invited Mourinho.

He would never choose to succeed someone of a calibre greater or equal to his - it just wouldn't be a very smart move on Mourinho's part. The sad truth is no matter how great any manager who succeeds Fergie is, their accomplishments will always be pitted against his and they will probably never get the full credit they deserve. Managers like Ferguson don't come around too often and I'm afraid  he's just set the bar way too high.
All of this aside I'm pretty sure Mourinho's said something along the lines of "going back somewhere he is loved and appreciated" and has made his desire to return to the Premier League clear in the past so it's pretty obvious Chelsea is his next stop.

He had a name, as you agree he was an uprising one, obviously.

Here's a budget of 50m: Howard, Jagielka, Heitinga, Baines, Neville, Gibson, Fellaini, Pienaar, Mirallas, Jelavic. Fellaini himself worths 25m.

I would love to see him joining Man Utd if he had managed to get close enough at least.

Because Moyes has done nothing that spectacular to move in such a world class club. He was just a lifelong coach in a middleskilled club. So what? Mourinho or Di Matteo would suit the most.

You kidding, right?
He barely spent a penny to build such a great squad for Everton. His scouting abilities are incredible.
It is not an easy task to keep a team in the top of the table without money, and he has done it for years.

Also, he's more stable than Mourinho. Mourinho might be better in the short run, but if you consider the fact that he likes to try new things a lot and someday he will move back to Inter, as he himself said before, it will be better to have a manager who will stay with ManU for a long period of time..

You never know in a few years time we may be looking at Moyes the same way we are of Fergie now.

Better in the short run? I don't even know what you mean. Mourinho has at least one title with every club he has been in. He's simply one of the most successful coaches the world has ever seen. He managed to get the CL with Inter. With Inter!! Just with 2 players, Miltio and Sneijder. Can you imagine?

Clubs without money are West Brom, Wigan, West Ham, Norwich etc, not Everton.

Inter was actually a world class team back then. Not only Milito and Sneijder. And Sneijder was 20x better then.

Better in the short run as in he's never committed himself to a club for more than 3 years but in them years he's sure to bring success. What Man Utd would need is stability and a manager who can commit himself to the club on the long term just as Alex Ferguson did for 27 years. Mourinho is not that manager.

Talking of Inter - they had won the Serie A 4 consecutive times prior to their Champions League win what makes you think they were any less of a team than any other in the competition? Not only that but Milito and Sneijder only? Aren't you forgetting Maicon, Zanetti and Eto'o? Inter was a hell of a team with one hell of a manager.

Who would belive that Inter would manage to get the CL with those players? None. Talking about big names and big clubs. Take Man City for example. They have a hell of expensive players and they can't pass to the knock-out stage. No offence Rick.  :D I want to say that I don't know if Inter would even qualify to semi finals without Mourinho..

Apparently you know nothing about football.. neither about EPL.

If you have, how come you do not even know what kind of situation Everton has been in?
Same for Inter back in the past when Mourinho was around.

I guess you have been only "playing".
