Chelsea are looking good, Drogba came back to annihilate Arsenal. And man, that Galatasaray kit looks nice.

The Bundesliga (Channel called "ZDF") Sportstudio already has that for aftermatch analysis. Thrilling.

Well looks like City has wasted money once again on names, Its just getting so typical i dont have to mention it anymore. But this was a friendly and I hope Gunners will repeat the same once season starts.

Who exactly looks like a waste of money? And let me guess, you made that assumption because of a few friendlies?

No, I didnt make that because of friendlies. Lets take a look at the team, they've got 5 strikers which means most likely big names like Dzeko and Agüero will be barely able to play. They've wasted too much money on Fernandinho who'll retire in few years so they wont be able to get that money back unless a miracle happens.
What is the point of buying big names if you're just going to throw them to bench and not give them chance to show what they're made of ? Its just ridiculous..

Pellegrini's preferred formation involves two strikers, so he could play two and switch off and on each game, giving the other two rest. Fernandinho was impressive last year, and had the most successful dribbles in Europe, and put out a great display both matches against Chelsea. Jovetic was one of the hottest prospects in the Serie A, and a lot of elite European clubs wanted him, as did your club, Arsenal. Fernandinho was bought to replace De jong, someone who was needed last year, and also a replacement for Barry who is past his prime. Jovetic was bought for more of a pacey-creative touch to the midfield, as he plays behind a striker, he isn't a striker. Fiorentina for some odd reason decided to play him as a striker last year. Negredo was bought to replace the likes of Balotelli and Tevez. And Navas was bought to add more pace to the wings, someone that was crucially needed last year.

You make it seem like they didn't have 5 strikers before. They had Balotelli, Tevez, Aguero, and Dzeko.. I am quite sure you're referring to Guidetti as the fifth, but his constant injuries barely make him a fifth. He usually get loaned out for more experience, which looks to be way it will be.

We also got rid of big wage players such as Santa Cruz, Bridge, Tevez(had a higher wage bill than Negredo and Navas put together), etc.
